thinking about patience devastates me how did fitz leave her for 15 years. it was only like 85% his fault because he was traumatised and gave himself a lobotomy but she missed his entire transition into adulthood (while she got old!) because he thought eliminating himself from everyone’s lives to keep them safe was worth the grief they’d suffer, which he minimised as a result of his horrendous self worth. honestly his belief that being far away from him was probably safer than being near him is a whole other can of worms which i will Not open rn. and patience’s reaction to seeing him was chilling like she genuinely thought he was a ghost. and he did haunt her life for over a decade!
