One time when I was a kid, I had a science teacher with a snake as a class pet, and said snake was almost done shedding. There was one little bit of dried skin stuck to its face and I was like, “would it hurt him if I pulled that off?” And the teacher said, “yes it actually could, it’s probably still attached to living skin if it hasn’t come off yet” and I was like “oh, sorry,” and he said, “that’s okay, you were just wanting to do the primate thing.” And damn, that’s such an accurate descriptor.
Anyways I hope aliens don’t mind me/my descendants having the urge to pluck stuff off of them. If they ask, we’ll have to tell them it’s a trait we evolved to survive ticks.

Maybe if there’s the option to let me NOT work double as hard, I should have it, because I’m already working double as hard JUST TO SURVIVE!!

being the youngest sibling is truly one of the loneliest things in the world. you will never get the full attention of your parents until you are far too old to want it and they are too old to give it; you are the last to know anything & the last to be asked; you will never be evaluated on your own merit, always compared to someone ahead; your siblings know a time before you and will never let you forget it
when they leave, the dinners together stop and the house deflates around you, only resuming when they return for brief periods and your parents remember they are parents
or maybe you leave first and are judged for getting out in any way you could, having no one to guide you or have your back
you know your siblings should have protected you and they didn't. maybe they were scared too, but you never had anyone else to trust so the failure hurt all the more

Thinking about how, in the Nightmare Forest, Adaine’s biggest fear was being alone. As living on as the Elven Oracle as her friends die around her and there is nothing she can do about it. For all of her magic and all of her foresight, there is nothing she can do in the face of her immortality and their mortality.
But there are things that the other Bad Kids can do. Fig is an Arch Devil. Until and unless someone takes over her domain - which also holds the divine domain of her goddess - and as long as the spirit of justice lives on, Fig is bound to rule over it eternally. Adaine can plane shift to her at any time.
Riz, as a mortal, is already a junior member of a celestial detective team. His father, who is dead, able to communicate and interact with him. Why wouldn’t Riz, even in death, be able to commune with Adaine?
Kristen is a Saint to a goddess of mystery and magic. Through acts of divine intervention, she can already help lost souls navigate between the divine realm of Cassandra and other afterlives. She may not live on a tanglible plane of existence, like Fig, or be able to manifest into mortal planes, like Riz, I have no doubt that some part of her will remain with Adaine.
Fabian is becoming his own man and his eternal future is not yet certain. But two things are true: he is the Oracool of Dance and his father is going to kill the Devil himself and take over hell. For the former, his soul and future are tied tied to Adaine, as the champion of the Elven Oracle. For the latter, if he so chooses, he can join his father’s undead army and kick it with Fig in Hell.
Gorgug doesn’t have the same loopholes for mortality that the other Bad Kids do. But he is the first ever Barbaficer. He is much smarter and much more capable than anyone gives him credit for. He has enacted works of engineering and magic unto the world that almost certainly will land him a blue link in Legend Lore. Even if he dies in a more permanent way than the other Bad Kids, he’s the Greatest Wizard of His Age. Plus he his besties with the Elven Oracle, the Arch Devil of Rebellion, an Angel-in-Training, the Saint of Mystery, and a Maximum Legend.
What I’m saying is, friendship is magic (fuck you Arthur Aguefort) and the plot of Fantasy High: Senior Year should be about making Gorgug immortal.

Gorgug and Ragh desperately trying to flirt over text but they both have no idea what they're doing and so Gorgug is texting Fig, Adaine, and Kristen asking for advice and Ragh is asking Tracker and Aelwyn but little do they know they're all in the same room having a girls night and they're all choreographing the flirting from both sides until they successfully make a date happen
summer camp counselor au for the bad kids. fabian is a lifeguard and is constantly getting distracted but the kids all love him. he doubles up by helping whenever the kids set up their games to play. adaine is the other lifeguard and mostly bothers fabian but also assists around different parts of camp as needed, normally ending up telling scary stories at night. kristen is the camp nurse and helps out in the kitchen some days, she’s not the best with kids but she has a few that adore her. fig is a camp counselor and plays music at night for everyone. riz is a counselor by technicality but spends a lot of his time trying to make sure none of the kids nor counselors kill each other before the summer ends. gorgug runs the craft tent and spends a lot of his time in there and letting kids sit with him during lunch.

adaine is all prim and proper, a rich, small framed nerd with and anxiety disorder; looks like she wouldn't hurt a fly.
Despite all the spells she can use, Adaine will resort to brute force and physical violence without blinking.
Fig looks scary. Half demon rockstar, skips class, is loud and rebellious and angry at the world.
She keeps a token of the first person they killed in battle because she felt bad for her, she spends her free time trying to improve her dad's life and tries to end fights saying that "its all love now".
Gotta start posting more often to clear up my camera roll..
