TRIUMPH 6T THUNDERBIRD - Heiwa Motorcycles Japan
With the world of Japanese manufacturers on their doorstep, Kengo Kimura chose to go against the grain by heavily modifying a British Classic. An extremely chopped 1953 Triumph 6T Thunderbird to be exact. This bike named the âLizard Tailâ bobber took Best Guest Pick and Best European Motorcycle at Mooneyes Yokohama Hot Rod Show in 2012.
The build includes a custom frame (front end almost stock in appearance), primary drive ripped apart to show internals, bronze processing and a hand built 2 in 2 exhaust system by Heiwa themselves. Looking closer you can see an elaborate suspension system under the saddle for comfort. 19 inch spokes wrapped in AVON SM-MK2 tires. Distinctively Heiwa Style. 68 SEELEY NORTON 750 COMMANDO - NYC Norton
Love it or hate it, the NYC Seeley Norton 750 Commando is not only a work of art, itâs also highly successful on track. The bike has taken 4 consecutive AHRMA BEARS National Championships and campaigns yearly on tracks all over the U.S.A.
Built by Kenny Cummings of NYC Norton, the build uses period components to match the AHRMA vintage motorcycle racing specs. The key components include; 1968-spec Seeley MKII T45 alloy chassis and tanks, built by John Wood Racing in the UK. JS Motorsports lightweight long rod/raised piston pin setup. Hemmings PW3 cam. Reinforced Maney crankcases, crankshaft, cylinder barrels and exhaust. Fullauto cylinder head. TT Industries close-ratio 5-speed magnesium gearbox. Hemmings norvil disk brakes. AP racing calipers. Brembo master cylinders. Triumph 4-Bolt rear hub with disk and sprockets.

YAMAHA XS650 â Holiday Customs
Wicked curves coming from Jared Johnson on this custom Schwinn inspired XS650. The One Motorcycle show featured Holiday Customs third XS650 (in Silver) with these lines. The first two sold like hotcakes, one of which went to Alex Turner from Arctic Monkeys.

SALT GHOST - Lowbrow Customs // Four Aces
This has been hanging around El Mirage dry lake since the 60s. The âSalt Ghostâ, a ratted dry lake racer. Owned by Tyler Malinky of Lowbrow Customs and Wes White of Four Aces. The engine is from 1961 Bonneville, and the chassis is a 1948 Triumph rigid. âComplete with original paint. it might look like trash to the casual bystander, but this bike is all class.â - Bike EXIF. TI BOXER - TEAM INCOMPLETE
A BMW R100GS, if you can still call it that. Built by Team Incomplete this mean engineering feat goes by the name of âTI BOXERâ. The build was a result of a donor bike being crashed, on ice, at 70mph. The engine, wheels and forks were salvaged and put into a â92 R100GS frame. Ever since first coming across this bike on silodrome.com I canât seem to get it out of my head. An incredible example of what can be done with the ever increasingly popular semi-classic BMWâs.
The last image is an overlay of both LHS and RHS photographs. The symmetry is tight.Â

SHINYA KIMURA - CHABOTT ENGINEERING
âThe elimination of the insignificant.â Shinya Kimura is a Japanese born Custom motorcycle builder. Kimura founded Zero Engineering in 1992 and Chabott Engineering in 2002. He is the originator of the "zero style" custom bike.
We recently ordered a number of vintage products similar to the ones seen in these video grabs. The products are the 1938-1970 Russian Military Pilot goggle and 1980â˛s Cal Cycle bobber glove. They will be available in the store in 2 weeks.
