TRIUMPH 6T THUNDERBIRD - Heiwa Motorcycles Japan
With the world of Japanese manufacturers on their doorstep, Kengo Kimura chose to go against the grain by heavily modifying a British Classic. An extremely chopped 1953 Triumph 6T Thunderbird to be exact. This bike named the ‘Lizard Tail’ bobber took Best Guest Pick and Best European Motorcycle at Mooneyes Yokohama Hot Rod Show in 2012.
The build includes a custom frame (front end almost stock in appearance), primary drive ripped apart to show internals, bronze processing and a hand built 2 in 2 exhaust system by Heiwa themselves. Looking closer you can see an elaborate suspension system under the saddle for comfort. 19 inch spokes wrapped in AVON SM-MK2 tires. Distinctively Heiwa Style.
