It’s one thing to want to ship other people’s characters together for fun, but it’s another to shove your otps down people’s throats when clearly they’re not comfortable with it in the first place. And I don’t understand how people don’t get that or respect that about other people, since not all of us are really looking to pair our characters up. Relationships are nice and all, but there are some of us who are doing this to develop our characters rather than focus on romance and all that jazz. Because if the ONLY thing our characters are known for is how hot they are or that they’re dating so-and-so, in a way, you’re reducing a  character to just THAT and ignoring the hardwork and love the artist put into building that character, if that makes sense.
