Have you seen the flag based off the Sappho poem? It still has pink though.

I prefer the way it’s set up to the one based on the traditional lipstick lesbian one in my icon one because of the meaning it ascribes to the individual colours which go beyond “pink/red = girls!”. More on it can be found here .

The creator, an indigenous Canadian lesbian called Lydia, based the colours used on these lines from a poem by Sappho:

“If you forget me, thinkof our gifts to Aphroditeand all the loveliness that we shared

all the violet tiaras,braided rosebuds, dill and’crocus twined around your young neck”

And she describes the symbolism behind it as follows:

I wish the flag were less obscure, it’s never used in real life where I am.

Now that I know more about the flag, though, I might go back and change the latter to Lydia or Sappho! ("Might" because I definitely think I should but it'd be a lot of work so We'll See™ if it ever gets done)
