antiracism is a constant process. i was raised in a racist village and it's not easy to get rid of it. i moved away over 10 years ago but those ideas are still haunting me.

I could not be more bored of women characters who are dangerous in a competent, sexy, luminous makeup and blow-dried hairstyle kind of way. I am so tired of all these dry-clean-only girlbosses strutting their way into stories. “Oh she’s so beautiful AND so good at martial arts and so clever and seductive” No! Get that outta here!! Give me more women who are dangerous in a real grungy way, like rusted metal with a sharp edge. Girls who make you glad you’ve had your tetanus shot. Girls who cut their own hair and get bad tattoos. Girls who are as charming as a wet feral cat. Girls who might be clever enough to Play The Game but would rather flip over the chess board and punch you in the throat. I demand more horrible unpleasant women!! Thank you.

TERFs being serial sexual abusers/harassers should not shock anyone. latest jkr news should be expected. these people are violently fixated on women's genitals & sex lives, harboring what amounts to a fetish for violating peoples' bodily autonomy, collaborators with the christian right. right down to the constant, baseless accusations of sexual perversion against deviant Others. they fit the profile of the powerful, reactionary rapist who is able to abuse with impunity perfectly. and they do.

reminder that if you are unable to understand that cis women can be rapists, and that trans women can be (and disproportionately are) victims of all manner of sexual violence, your feminism is worth than worthless, it's actively reactionary + dangerous to the most marginalized women in your life.

You really never know what random niche knowledge you have will come in handy at trivia night. You really don’t.
