5: What part was hardest to write? Oh, man, when duva and I swapped jobs and I had to write the questions instead of the answers. That was definitely the hardest part, and even it was fun.

4: What’s your favorite line of dialogue? Where do I even start! I had so much fun writing this whole universe, especially the dialogue, that there’s easily at least half a dozen lines I could name, just off the top of my head, that I wouldn’t be ashamed to call my ‘favorite’. But, hm, here, I’ll just pull one I really love from each of the fics.

The Actual Worst Thing:

“If I’d known why your parents suddenly lost their minds,” Sirius said, speaking slowly, like he thought he was talking to a particularly dim kneazle, “I could have tried just reassuring them that I’d never let you do that.”

A Far Better Thing:

“No, you’re just asking me to pretend we’re all, all lovey.” James’s nose wrinkles. “You made it sound like we’ll have to kiss.”

Sirius props his hands on his hips and gives James his very flattest look. He raises one eyebrow.

9: Were there any alternate versions of this fic? OH MY GOD, you know there were. That’s at least half the reason I ended up writing several parts, from different perspectives.

5: What part was hardest to write? Umm you know, looking back, I’m really not sure. I think this fic was the first time I wrote rimming, though—which made that bit tricky I guess?

I’m assuming you don’t mean the main pairing, because I wrote this story for a prompt on kradamadness, which should make that pretty self-explanatory. Did you mean one of the secondary pairings (which you’re probably the only one who knows about, since you’re the only one who’s seen the thousands of words of sequels I’ve written)?

6: What makes this fic special or different from all your other fics? It is, I believe, my only completed steampunk fic to date. And also I plotted it with you while we were on vacay in the archipelago and it was glorious and delightful, so.

1: What inspired you to write the fic this way? I love fics that have mixed-media narrative, and I wanted to try one. Same for fake/pretend relationships. Mostly, though, this just... seemed like the way this story needed to be told. It fit.

7: Where did the title come from? Oh man, this one is your fault, obviously you don’t need to ask, you just want to make me admit it, don’t you. A truly TERRIBLE Adam Lambert song, which doesn’t sound like a thing that could possibly exist but…does. No, really. Go look it up on youtube if you don’t believe me (I’d link, but I’m not a sadist).
