My friend's doll collection was stolen on May 19th by his shitty landlord. Charges have been filed, but the landlord and the moving company he used to transport the dolls and other stolen property have been uncooperative in giving the information needed to trace and recover the dolls.

I'm asking that this post be shared as far and wide as possible so he has some hope of getting his most beloved and distinctive dolls back.

If anyone sees a massive dump of Ringdolls and Dollfie Dreams on Mercari, eBay, or Facebook, especially in/around/from the Louisville, KY area, please contact me so I can let him know.

I will update as we assess the full extent of the loss, but the dolls we're asking people to keep an eye out for at the moment are

Ringdoll K fullset edition with attached hair, NS. No outfit. Distinctive features: One magnet fell out and was put back in back upside down, so his headcap doesn't stay closed.

DIM Minimee Ruki head, NS. Distinctive features: Vampire mod.

Custom House Mina (both Saint Mina and LE Sad Mina), NS

Ringdoll Quiz, GS, fullset

Bobobie Pixie. Distinctive features: sky blue skin that yellowed to a minty color. Probably wearing green pajamas with brown airplanes made by me.

ResinSoul Yao, WS. His first doll, probably yellowed a fair bit by now. Distinctive features: a small chip on one of her horns.

DIM Minimee heads of all Gazette and Dir En Grey members. If these turn up as a lot, contact us, it's probably them.

this is not the first evidence, either. When I went away on a trip, my husband did all the right and proper things for her, and yet, when I came home and sat down at the desk, she crawled over to the corner and STARED at me for hours. 

I suppose it’s possible they could learn to recognize their owner and not associate them with any sort of threat, but then any wild mantis I’ve ever met didn’t seem inclined to flee from people either. They’ve walked willingly onto my hand and they’ve never met me before.

noticed this in the notes ^ they had him wearing this full armour in avengers when he was hulk-smashed, and subsequently apprehended by the avengers. (helmet missing due to apparently losing it when hawkeye’s arrow exploded in his hand.)

in endgame, he was still wearing it - hadn’t left stark tower yet, was still in the process of being escorted from the building…

i agree that at the end of avengers, he’s wearing his ‘lite’ leather armour… i assume he changes it using his seidr in a similar fashion to when he’s captured in stuttgart.

(after all he changes back and forth between these two versions of his armour a couple of times in the original avengers movie. it’s obviously not difficult for him.)

so, in between being escorted through the foyer of stark tower, and walking out into the park to go to the bifrost, the armour changes off-camera.

since in endgame, LOKI takes the tesseract while still in stark tower and still wearing this full battle armour (minus the helmet which was dropped when hawkeye’s arrow exploded) and drops into the series like that… of course he’s wearing it still. he never made it out to the bifrost departure point. so we can assume without having to accept a plothole, that he just hadn’t changed it yet.

the thing that never won’t annoy me is how he got a fucking haircut in between escaping with the tesseract and dropping into the desert sands in mongolia. i mean, he went straight there. there’s no significant elapsed time between those two scenes… he still had the chains on ffs. seriously marvel… your continuity sucks.

ALSO, he came out as bisexual/‘not interested in labels’ like a decade ago, but much more recently he came out as gay, so he’s gay! his latest album, No Place In Heaven, is almost completely about being gay. it’s got a song abt his sexuality and his religion, a song abt pining for your straight best friend, a song abt the music world that includes the lyrics “where have all the gay guys gone?”, a song abt gay and lesbian solidarity, a song abt heterosexual expectations from family, and two songs that are just abt being super ridiculously in love w your partner.

because his debut album, life in cartoon motion, was such a huge part of my generation’s tween and teen years

like, i guarantee you, you can walk up to any swedish millennial, and they will still know every single line of his song lollipop

it was just a part of our upbringing;
