i'm really glad 6 isnt afraid of 7 anymore and you could all stand to be more supportive of their relationship
something nobody tells you about being a transfem in a pink collar industry (i work in a salon) is that you'll often find yourself in situations where you'll be pressured into misogynistic behavior by the cis women around you. one of my managers yesterday was ranting about how disgusting it is when women leave the house with visible leg hair‚ and two or three other coworkers enthusiastically agreed that it was gross - meanwhile i'm adjusting the edge of my skirt to cover the slight regrowth of leg hair on my own calves (i hadn't shaved my legs in like three weeks) and kinda nervously laughing along with the cis women that i work with. and this is the standard - women will mock other women for how busted their makeup is‚ criticize each other's hair‚ call each other slobs for wearing a wrinkled blouse to work‚ etc. as a trans women i find myself consistently pulled into these efforts to police the womanhood of other girls‚ and when i refuse (tho usually i just nod and laugh along) they look at me like i'm growing a second head. it's exhausting.
Incredibly important tags
[Image ID: Tumblr tags reading: #i feel like people love to forget that so many cishet women are still heavily misogynistic #i'm not transfem myself but I do heavily relate to the rest of op's post #those are usually the same women who freak out over me being a lesbian #like calm down i am only into women who are a very close friend and don't engage with misogynistic behavior #I'm all for talking dowm on misogynistic cishet men obviously but we can't forget that sometimes #cishet women can be horribly misogynistic /End ID]
Because of some drama on YouTube there is a subset of people who doubt that the woman going a misogynistic rant could have been raped like she said when she is suggesting heavily that another woman lied about being raped for attention (the second woman's rapist confessed and was convicted in court btw not that that matters)
And I don't know how to explain that her denial of other people's sexual assault/rape and her misogyny doesn't mean she wasn't also a victim
But only her rape was real in her opinion. Cis women who hate other women have no problem separating out their own experiences of sexism and misogyny from other women's
SHE doesn't deserve that treatment but those "histrionic" women do
And I think it's because these women like that the patriarchy can give them a sense of power and control over other women
Fuck Meyer-Briggs whatever typology. This INTFP shit is only for redditors up their own asses to substitute for a personality. Use my new typology instead!

thanks for the advice tumblr but this post doesn't actually need to be seen i'm just trying to unburden my soul of it like it's some sort of dark passenger i need to exorcise out
having being anti death penalty as one of my core beliefs is fun because it really makes me realize how even progressive people want soooooo badly for there to be a category of people they can kill. I'm sorry but "group of people okay to kill" does not exist.

don't go into the humanities because they're unprofitable and don't go into stem cuz its getting torn apart right now and don't go into buisness because it's competetive and speculative and don't go into education because it pays like shit. Just lay on thr ground. Just lay on the ground.
Being a romantic asexual who doesn't experience same gender attraction is a trip and a half because the straights don't want you, but queer folks don't want you either, so you don't really feel like you fit in anywhere. It's very lonely.

This a a reminder to not fall victim to the sunk-cost fallacy. Just because you invested time and energy into something, does not mean you should indefinitely waste more time and energy on it, if you decide it’s not what you want anymore. This goes for anything, from books, to relationships, to jobs, to hobbies, etc.
If it’s not serving you anymore, move on.
This is honestly one of the places I find Marie Kondo's advice most helpful. I stop, look at the thing I've spent time and money on only to realize I dislike, and I say, "Thank you for teaching me something about myself and my preferences. I think I've learned this particular lesson and we can part ways now."
And then I don't feel like I "wasted" things or made a mistake. I just tried one path of learning about myself, learned something, and now it's time for a different path. Works a lot better for my brain.
The time Marie Kondo said "you can thank a a shirt you've never worn for teaching you about your taste", thereby making it NOT A WASTE literally rewired my whole brain. Acknowledge the thing and move forward, even if that means leaving the thing behind.
