"Syluuussss, I'm cold," you complain, slumping backwards over the arm of your plush chair with a dramatic huff.
Sylus hums, raising his eyebrows while keeping his eyes on his tablet. "Mm. You want me to turn the heat up, sweetie?" He responds absentmindedly, scrolling through a report. You glare at him for his preoccupation, but given that his attention is preoccupied, he doesn't see it.
"No." you grumble, letting your hair flip up towards the ground. You stare at Sylus upside down, waiting for him to look at you, like an impatient cat. It takes a few seconds, but he does, giving you his signature smirk.
"What, are you bored?" He's obnoxiously entertained at your expense, and you furrow your brow more to send a message. "That's not an answer, kitten." Stupid Sylus. He goes back to reading his stupid report.
You sit up, groaning in annoyance. He ignores you, but that's not going to impede you any longer. You grab a fluffy blanket from the couch and march over to him, taking one of his hands and making it let go of his tablet, and using the opening to situate yourself in his lap.
Sylus holds his hands up in mock surrender, one still holding the tablet, amusedly watching you settle against him in his armchair. You burrow your face into the crook of his neck, pressing your chest tight against his and haphazardly enveloping the blanket around your shoulders. You wrap your arms snugly around his torso and settle your legs on either side of his, now stubbornly attached to him.
He chuckles, adjusting the blanket to drape it properly over your form. "Happy?" He asks, and you nod against him, refusing to move your head away from where you were comfortable.
He returns to reading his report with you wrapped around him, unfazed by the new development. He slowly rubs his warm palm in circles against your back from time to time, enjoying the way he can feel you melt against him.
You're his kitten, warm and safe, enclosed in his embrace. Just as it should be.
