The fat tail on the selkiefolk shifted, squinting and half sliming. No exposed teeth this time. Being a fisherman and fish eater, all fish were nice looking to him unless they were in terrible shape, this fish’s tail wasn’t in awful shape from his perspective.

“Thank you, he didn’t know his eyes looked nice!”

Naru gave a smile of his own. With a mouth full of sharp teeth himself (even if they were folded down at the moment), the sight of another toothy smile wouldn’t have made him flinch. There was a thought that did make him pause, and he glanced down the beach he’d been wandering along and then back to the stranger.
