I was thinking, we can eat raw ebony, buy maybe not the ebony blades, because weapon smith will increased the metal's strength while forging. So I thought maybe we can eat every weapon weaker than the Dwemer material.

So imagine you're an assassin here to kill the Nerevarine, and your weapon didn't worn out by hitting their armor. They took a bite every time you swing your blade at their face. Their face also explode every time they swallow bc the first effect of any metals is drain attribute. Your blade is covered in bite marks, and eventually break.
