SPRINGFIELD--An art heist occured overnight Wednesday at the Springfield Art Museum. Who committed the crime is still an open question. Josh Best, spokesman for the museum, said the commercial burglary was discovered Thursday morning, at 8:45 a.m. All artwork is thought to have been in its proper place at closing time Wednesday evening, at 5:00 p.m. Lisa Cox, public information officer for the Springfield Police Department said the investigation is ongoing. Cox confirmed no call for service had been requested at the museum's Brookside Drive address during the time of the burglarly. Cox said "it is fair to say" that this was unusual since facilities such at the Springfield Art Museum holding valuable objects overnight typically utilize security systems that trigger alarms and calls for police service. Police did not arrive at the scene until after the museum opened Thursday and the theft was discovered. Best said unconfirmed sources had informed local media of FBI and INTERPOL involvement, however, the St. Louis FBI office would not confirm agency involvement. The agency's Art Crime team is tasked with investigating theft of artworks and attempts to recover it. Best said another unconfirmed source had told the media the theft involved museum owned artworks by famed pop artist Andy Warhol. Tom Judy takes a break from torrential storm Goliath at Hardee's in Lebanon, Missouri on December 26, 2015. While waiting to learn if he can cross the low lying roads to his home that might be flooded this evening, he says that the United States has developed a secret weather weapon called HAARP but the Communist Russians have a 10 year-head start in weather warfare weaponry. He claims knowledge of another weather weapon named Jet Spray designed to manipulate the western U.S. jet stream with the purpose disrupting the climate patterns of the western United States. He points out the Russians live only 70 miles from Alaska. Tom doubts we've ever been to the Moon. He tells a story of a time he once went to the Oshkosh Air Show where NASA had a booth. While there he argued with its physicists that they had failed to prove that ozone had damaged the atmosphere. He admits his argument that day was weak due to being distracted by a NASA scientist dressed in hot pink shorts. Tom was was the second husband of a French woman who avoided certain death on a transatlantic flight years earlier with her first husband, an American soldier returning to rural Missouri. Everyone aboard that flight died but she and her first husband had exchanged tickets for the next flight. Tom was very happy with his French bride, but he has never visited France. He is a warm man with no bitterness. He is joyful and intelligent and he can recall facts with ease. He says he knows about the New World order and Obama's role in it. He also says he has faith in God's plan if climate change were to make life extinct on Earth.
