Aya and Marty were originally going to be red heads, but since I only had two color pallets at the time I unlocked Aya and none of them fit what I wanted, I eventually went with green. Shocking to people who know me that I wouldn't give them green hair first lol, but it actually took a lot of convincing to go with it! Here's what that might have looked like (eyes would also have changed color and their color pallets would be different and anyway not the point. Glad now I went with the green)

The only reason why Marty has their shades/eye covering in the first place was because I HATEEDDDD their eyes in the old model and spent almost two weeks messing with their face to get it to a point I liked enough. They constantly looked like they were shocked and I couldn't stand it. Thus, the first time I put money into this game was to buy that eye covering and gave them a lore reason on why they wore it, aka the migraines and eye problems from pre Zariman and void issues from Duviri. Aya was originally supposed to be the only one with glasses and Marty's was healed by their time spent in the void, but obviously that got changed. Now I can't picture them without their sunglasses at all, they ARE Marty to me lol

Marty had a lot of nightmares when they first arrived in 1999 to the point they would take shots of whatever drink they could find while out and about just to be able to get some sleep. They don't actually enjoy drinking that much and finds most drinks disgusting, very rarely order anything from The Round Table, but will social drink once and a blue moon. Now with the comfort of Amir by their side and no worrying activity from Wally (for now), they are able to sleep and no longer need it. The flask stays, but it's now been replaced with water for the two love birds to share whenever one, the other or both gets up in the middle of the night. Amir is the warmer of the two, so to Marty it's like sleeping next to a campfire! Marty's side and Amir's side!

🚫 PROHIBITED — does your oc drink/smoke? do they do it regularly, or is it more on occasion or for special events?

As I said above, Marty is more of a social drinker, and that's on a rare occasion. For smoking though, I think Marty sometimes smokes, perhaps of the more recreational kind lol I think it would be good for them tbh, they might actually relax when they're awake lol Cigs, though, are not really on their mind. They've tried it once or twice, but didn't like the flavor or the feeling. They don't mind lighting one for you or watching one of their frames do the Excalibur Zato noble animation, however....

🌴 PALM TREE — does your oc have a green thumb? do they enjoy gardening?

Yes, yes and yes. Marty is suchhhh a plant person, it's getting a little ridiculous in the backroom. They find it super calming and grounding (pun intended) and as their mother was a mix of a botanist and horticulturist, plants are something they seem to understand and are almost nostalgic for them. Plants don't bite, scratch, yell, scream, curse, fight, or try to throw you in a time loop.... They just are. They talked to plants a lot in Duviri, even if it was mostly inside of their head, but they like to think those quiet conversations got them a few more berries or bigger leaves to hide behind here and there.

🩹 ADHESIVE BANDAGE

Marty is actually hard of hearing in one ear! When they were on the Zariman, a Void Angel screamed really loud next to their head when they were hiding from it, trying to lure them out. It ended up causing hearing issues in their right ear! It's actually why they prefer people on their left. It's easier for them to hear and understand folks. It's also why you'll see me draw them all the time with these ear pieces! It's not only for communication, but also as a sort of hearing aid!

Marty doesn't have any tattoos, but they've certainly considered them! If they did, they'd probably get one of Kullervo's knives or a plant! Perhaps a good mix of both could be fun.

🤔 THINKING FACE

Marty doesn't tend to raise their voice at all unless they're in battle. They really don't find a need or want for it, and it reminds them too much of how much they'd get stuck in Anger Spirals if you let them or still feels like they'll get caught by something if they do. They talk calm and gentle and with only a little emotion! Duviri certainly took a toll on their mind, voice and speaking habits.

A good example that I use if you're trying to figure out what that might sound like is the english dub of Qifrey from Witch Hat Atelier. Even more closely, the scenes where Coco is sick with a fever. It's not exact, but it's very close!

And that's not to say they don't have any emotion in their voice at all, it's just more subtle!

Marty does NOT like their hair down unless they're sleeping. Their hair was constantly down in Duviri and was always fighting it with make shift hair ties. They DID try to cut it off, but it always seemed to grow back just as long. So now Marty has their hair up and or is constantly blowing it out of their face if it's down. They don't know why they won't cut it now that they have the means to and it'll finally stay short, so the long hair stays.

29. What do their cupboards or shelves look like?

At first, I imagine the shelves are kind of bare. Maybe a plant or two here and there. But as they slowly kind of merge and move into Drifter's back room apartment, the shelves get more crowded with like, little gifts/trinkets/other stuff. For example, On-Lyne merch or Sailor Guardian Lua DVD/cassette sets, floofs, you name it. Locke loves cute stuff :3

42. What are little gestures they do for each other?

Arthur will cut her food in square portions for her before serving it - well, he'll do it for whatever food he can feasibly do it for. He does it to give her a sense of home. For example. Locke really loves his grilled cheese, right? Instead of cutting the sandwich diagonally, he'll cut the crust down so that's it's as square as possible. He also takes really good care of her atomicycle, since she's not really familiar with how to maintain 1999 tech. Oh, and he'll sing her back to sleep if she's had a particularly rough night in terms of nightmares :')

Locke, if she knows he'll be out on a mission without her, will always sneak him a little note in one of his utility pouches before he leaves to let him know she's thinking about him <3 She'll go out of her way to bug Velimir about giving her secret access to *the good stuff* for Arthur. She also keeps an eye on all his tools and cooking equipment, and makes a mental list to repair or find a new one before it breaks so that he doesn't have to do it.

Do they make it a habit to eat meals together? How often? Where do they eat breakfast/lunch/dinner?
