god if there was a book of forbidden spells I wouldn’t even hesitate

i saw a tiktok recently where a friend was posting about her friend’s bachelorette weekend and she’d taken everyone (including a pregnant woman) on a hike in north idaho. mind you, the rest of the friends were described as ‘not outdoorsy’. i looked up the hike in question out of curiosity. 3600 ft elevation, ‘challenging difficulty’, and rife with predators (bride to be advised she was bringing bear spray).

comment: “yes! bring back inconveniencing yourself for your friends!”

man i think this applies to like helping them move or picking them up from the airport or pet sitting while they’re away i do not think this should apply to bringing novices on a difficult hike. we do know that experienced hikers die all the time right. it’s important to me that you know that.
