the thing about Psych is that in spite of the existence of actual genius (Shawn Spencer) there is actually no crime solving with just the actual genius in the manner where it kind of happens for other shows (or at least that's what I recall)
I think Psych is more like a Shawn and Gus show even if Shawn is the sort of "main character" but really Shawn wouldn't be solving crimes without Gus, he even goes to him start of show, and that is just facts. Because for all of Shawn's great eyesight and super-skills Gus provides the encyclopaedia level knowledge.

Psych is great because of the 4 main characters we have both ends of the neurodivergent spectrum(Shawn and Lassie) and both ends of the “neurotypical but like a real weird person” spectrum(Jules and Gus)

Unfortunately I wanted to Know More, which is always a bad start. Turns out there is no more to know, this is the only info abt Larry the Truffle Cat and it comes from a UK-based Fun Cat Stories Facebook page. Found some people saying it’s AI, although they ALSO did not give convincing sources. Honestly, although I prefer Knowing to Not Knowing, I don’t care that much if people are inventing cute and entirely probable cat stories.
