Random assortment of TF-141 headcanons:
- He's 26, barely. And often gets treated like the baby of the group, to his frustration.
- He has two sisters. They're both taller than him.
- The scar on his chin comes from a dog attack that happened when he was a teen, it's why he doesn't like them. (Though with enough time, he might be willing to make an exception for Riley the dog).
- He doesn't know how to cook, nor bake, and is not allowed in the kitchen without supervision.
- He has ADHD. He always needs to move and often bounces his leg. Unless he goes into focus mode. He was initially afraid that the diagnosis on his file would pose a problem, but because he aced selections he was still allowed to join the SAS.
- He is tone deaf, but doesn't give two shits about it and will sing anyway.
- Contrary to popular belief, he doesn't hate tea, but he prefers coffee. He drinks both with copious amounts of sugar.
- Price made him work with a speech coach after he first made Sergeant, because his accent was even stronger when he first joined and 'we can't have you giving unintelligible orders over the radio, son'.
- He's 34, though only Price and Soap know this.
- He's demisexual. He thought he was pretty much asexual until he met Johnny.
- He secretly is a bit of a metal head and can actually play the (electric) guitar pretty well, though he hasn't done so in years.
- He has a sweet tooth. Especially for biscuits and scones.
- He is autistic, and is aware of this. He got diagnosed by the army psychologist Price made him see before joining the 141.
- He prefers tea over coffee, because too much caffeine gives him anxiety.
- He can carry a tune, though he never does so in public.
- Physical contact is difficult for him, but he'll accept it from the 141 in limited amounts. Soap is obviously the exception.
- He has gotten into an argument with Soap's younger sister about who deserves to call Soap 'Johnny'.
- Soap is the only one who gets to call him 'Si'.
- He loves both cats and dogs.
- They don't call each other boyfriends, they don't call it dating. They don't really know what to call the relationship between them, except that they know they would die for each other.
- They get registered as partners at some point, purely for practical reasons (so they say).
- Price is aware of their relationship and while he has given them both a stern talking to when he first found out, he never told them to end it.
- He has been in the service so long that, while he's only 37, he acts like a boomer sometimes.
- He does not get most of the memes Soap and Gaz try to show him and definitely squints at his phone like an old person.
- He plays guitar and can sing, mostly country and folk (he has that nice rough edge to his voice).
- He's asexual, though he is friends with benefits with Nik, on very rare occasions.
- He's definitely a dog person.
- He has no family members left that he talks to.
- He has known Simon since before he became Ghost and is probably closest with him after Soap.
- One of his knees hurts when it gets cold, the consequence of having hurt it badly years before.
- He loves gossiping with Laswell.
- He's 26, only a few months older than Soap, which he loves to rub in.
- He's still pissed that Soap managed to beat his scores for the SAS selection.
- No one knows how he got the nickname 'Gaz'. Soap likes to joke it's abbreviated from GAZoline.
- He's the token straight guy of the 141.
- He doesn't really play an instrument, but he has a very good voice.
- He'll sing in the shower if he thinks he's by himself.
- He doesn't like to admit it, but Ghost scared him in the beginning, especially stumbling upon him in the middle of the night by accident (Ghost needs his midnight snacks).
- He's an only child, and is pretty close with his parents. He also has a bunch of cousins.
- He's a bit of a tech wiz and is eternally frustrated by Price who refuses to update his devices.
- He's not much of an animal person. Doesn't dislike pets, just doesn't care that much.
Gonna tag @anstarwar @r2wedoomed and @itsstrangelypermanent, because while most of these are personal headcanons, some of them (like the singing in the shower, gazoline and the musical instruments) were collaborative ideas!
