can’t get over the oldest living olive tree being over 4000 years old. imagine someone in 200 bc being like look at this old tree. so many living breathing people existed before us and they had lives just like ours and they lived in the same world we live in, only younger. if you stop for a second and close your eyes and listen you can hear what they heard. someone looked at this tree when it was just a sprout. someone ate the first olive from it. and then 2000 years later someone else thinks the very same thing

I don’t think people truly understand the scope of the damage Sony is about to do to physical media. They literally invented the compact disc. They are the reason why Blu-ray as a format won the HD wars over HD-DVD. They have gargantuan influence over manufacturing disc-based media. If Sony as a company stops making physical media for their next gen gaming consoles, this is going to affect movies and music as well. If you buy CDs, DVDs, or Blu-rays, those are next on the chopping block.

I really dont like how sony plans to stop physical gaming. I never had alot of money growing up so all my games came second hand on ebay but now i wont really be able to do that as much. It also means that younger kids without money almost definitley wont be able to get any games; the £20-30 difference you get can really make an impact on the rest of your finances so now parents just arent going to gwt things for their kids. Which just makes it worse that theres nowhere outside for kids to go with their friends

sony cutting off physical discs while also implementing a system that doesnt allow you to actually own ur digital games due to that 30 day verification whatever not to mention outside of gaming for the past few years sony has stopped producing on physical formats which is insane because THEY developed nearly every format every company uses( dvd, bluray, cd, etc ) so they have the biggest hand on production leaving a vacuum now that theyve stopped plus being absolutely shady with their digital marketplaces most recent example w/ pulling studio canal conent & the funimation / crunchyroll merger still has missing anime never added back to the app the shut down of multiple studios + the end of destiny 2 despite wanting to focus on live service which is just code for focusing on gta6's online mode & nothing else like adding the years upon years upon years of extra added shady sony horsepiss not just playstation but sony as a whole the fuck am i expected to spend a SINGLE dime with them again

adding to the "you dont hate sony enough" they also announced today they are shutting down the ps3 & psvita digital marketplaces so fuck preservation of games for older consoles ig !!
