Definitely A Human

We're having a Trope Flip Fest here at the Prompt Foundry for November 2025!

We all have our favorite tropes in media and fanwork, and we all have tropes we merely tolerate or are bored of. Either way, there's lots of room to have fun exploring the possibilities of turning the usual tropes on their heads!

A big thank you to everyone who helped contribute to this list by sharing their favorite tropes! It's great to have the community chime in.

These prompts are particularly well suited to prose writers, especially fanfiction writers, since that's the realm we're drawing inspiration from this month, but all artists and forms of creative work are more than welcome to join the fun.

Feel free to combine different days’ prompts with each other, or combine them with other events, like OC-tober, Inktober, or last year's Nom Nom November! Use your OCs, your favorite characters from media, your own experiences, whatever tickles your fancy.

It is done (enough)!

I would hype it up more but this is really really simple. It randomly generates a set of symbols, colors, and a word, and then the expected thing to do with those is you draw some sort of character based off the result you get. So it's just an art challenge toy thingy.

There are also some practical features like you can lock parts of the result in place to rerandomize the rest, or hide parts of the generation you don't care about (like if you want to pick your own colors or hate the words being there)

It should run in browser, but there's also a downloadable version for Windows if you want to use it offline. (No mac/linux versions for now, because I don't have appropriate computers to test those on and I...don't want to deal with mac's developer accounts or whatever their problem is...)

This is Wren! She was based on pigeon around 1 year ago. Today I noticed that her eyes are matching her flags (She was aroace from beginning, that wqs just funny coincidence)

I think it looks cool >:3 Im proud of this one!

These cuties are from abandoned universe i was working with. I wanted to write book about it but i have like 0 motivation (maybe less) Maybe one day i will short my whole book idea and post on toyhouse..? I don't know

They were friends, Emil had crush on Archie, then they were enemies, later they were enemies but Archie had crush on Emil, they stopped being enemies and literally 2 seconds later they were couple :3 (Yeah i need to short the book on toyhouse..)

I decided to make traditional sketch this time bc im tired -w- (No worries, just tired!) (And I need to focus on some undesigned characters for artfight, so propably there would be more traditional art :3)

These two are from my spoof warrior cats universe named Shadew Army

Brokenflower (big one) is deputy of Shadew Army. She also has big crush on Pearstar. Pearstar has no kdea about it. (lol)

Fun fact: Once Pearstar had exacly two kittens with some random cat and canonically sold them to Rivor Army for 20 000 apples
