ok so figured it out.

turns out a lot of blogs get shut down if you save a custom theme that contains any code the site autodetects as spam, i.e. a redirect link. absolutely no way of knowing this beforehand. I can only imagine that the reason this isn't a more widely-known issue is bc a lot of people are predominantly mobile users/haven't altered their theme in a while and aren't aware of it. cool website

just triple-tested this under different conditions to make sure and yeah it's the theme I was using, instakill. so I guess avoid any older ones/anything with redirect codes? no idea how you're gonna test this out in the meantime if you actually want a custom theme that doesn't get your blog terminated. maybe sideblogs.

#people often think I'd be into high fantasy genre stuff but it doesn't really grab me #I've also had people assume I like the game dream daddy a few times which LOL entirely understandable #not really a dating sim person either. they're kinda buff and young also #someone said they could sense homestuck on me once but I never read it

I wouldn't normally psychoanalyse someone through their music preferences, but I think if you were to tally up the amount of people with separated parents who rate "they'll need a crane" highly, well

#not to be depressing as hell but I don't think I've personally seen a single healthy relationship around me in my entire life #everything ranges from hideously bitter separation to unfulfilled and settled #it's just normal.

I never considered myself someone who has trouble taking things literally, because thanks to a heavily sarcastic family, I've always been able to pick up on dry tone

but I realised not long ago that I probably do have issue with this when it comes to confrontation/anger, and I've never been good at separating anything hyperbolic or a vague blanket of criticism in the heat of the moment from not actually being a full reflection of someone's perception of me as a person, instead taking it at face value, on account of believing the words people choose to say to me.

#like. why would I make something up just to hurt someone. it sounds naive but I genuinely don't get that #''I didn't mean it'' ok why'd you say it then. why are we just saying anything #the problem with not struggling with sarcasm is it actually hides a lot of other indicators of communication problems #because that one tends to be the textbook example.
