So I just learned that the way Ultima Online was originally programmed, a player was a “container” housing their inventory, the inventory was coded as a “map,” and horses, when first introduced, were coded as an invisible inventory item (pants) until called and mounted.
But for the first 24 hours or so, someone had forgotten to code it so they reverted to an item when put away.
So while this wasn’t actually visible, the horses wound up behaving in the inventory map as they would when released into the wild.
Which means that the horses were wandering freely inside of the player characters, picking up some of their items, eating the ones that qualified as food items, and since there had never before been a need to give the inventory map any boundaries, the horse pants and their stolen items would eventually wander off into oblivion.

Hypothetically, what would a fake Gloria be like? Character and personality wise?
Huh! Really interesting question!
This gets into a lot of plot stuff that I am not fully privvy to, as a player in this game, but if you give me an inch I will take a mile, so this is a great opportunity for me to expose just how brainrotted I am about Fake Apple by reverse-engineering what we have and adding it to the bits and pieces that are dropped as jokes and thought experiments. I get a bit wordy in this one, but you can skip my methods and go straight to the conclusion at "I see Fake Gloria..."
I think it's important to lay out what this would be asking in canon: What if [Fake Apple] had somehow, impossibly, chosen Gloria to mimic and learn from? How would she learn from the world available to her by virtue of Being Gloria? What are Gloria's public goals? How do those conflict or mesh with the Zodiac's goals, and by extension, Fake Gloria's?
Luckily, we have a resource shown in canon to look at: Gloria's TikTok--Sorry, PicklePackle--account. The primary way Fake Gloria would learn about, and eventually become, Gloria would have to be this, and it's a little sparse, but... well, she has access to much more than just what Gloria chose to post.
A Fake Gloria has to be unbothered, peaceful, loving. Everything Gloria tries to project. Her social media presence means we get to keep a lot of the ultra-popular idol schtick--Of course Gloria would want this! She's become untouchable, safe in her hypervisibility!--with all the surveillance that comes with it. Not as interesting of a change as I'd like to give you, but I think the motivation differs. Fake Gloria will become popular enough to be safe.
This puts Oscar in a VERY strange position, and I'm missing a lot of key information about him to fully sort out whether he'd be deemed an ally or an enemy. With the latest episode throwing a whole new trunk of baggage onto that... I'm going to need another session to sort that out. This is doubly unfortunate because this would be exactly the type of key figure for Fake Gloria to look to for guidance on who she should be. I might circle back to this when I have a bit more to work with, but for now I have to leave a huge component of Fake Gloria as a question mark.
We can still get something out of this. I'm firmly of the belief that Fake Apple is a form of stagnation, a new age that doubles down on the past. Her violent tendencies come from two factors: Her constant worship as the Star, and Apple's blatant bigotry. Given that, I'm tempted to say that a Fake Gloria would be much less... short-tempered. Gloria refuses to show her anger as anything but annoyance, and as such, Fake Gloria would only double down on the other side of being worshipped (that being a superiority complex).
I see a Fake Gloria as leaning heavily into an "innocent* schtick, much more so than Fake Apple. She is above all this. She is holy. She is beloved. She is not just the Star, she is your savior. Big, doe-like eyes, emphasized hair curls to round out her silhouette, the whole nine yards. A lamb to lead you to the slaughter.
The cult-like adoration (and literal cult) of her city, then, would become even more blatant. Direct angelic imagery rather than allusions (distorted imagery of the Virgin Mary come to mind), a focus on high-rise buildings to elevate her image beyond reach, and a focus on "being something greater" rather than just being part of the mass of fans. Refuge, safety, acceptance, she'll promise anything to draw you in to "help" you. The surveillance is just as outlandish as with Fake Apple, but it isn't just a byproduct anymore. It's a selling point.
