In comparison to 2017, 2018 was not awful. I got a promotion and started working as a adoption specialist for my ahenxy, so I got a little bit more money but I was most happiest that my work schedule for to be more normal instead of working a case manager's schedule of erratic hours and working almost 40hrs by Thursday. I get to spend more time with my fiance and puppy. I can definitely say I've experienced so much less anxiety than I did last year because of this work change and I'm very relieved by it. I was not sleeping well last year and was constantly feeling on edge, even on the weekends. I'm still happy I'm working where I am in efforts to help kids get out of foster care (fyi, I work with a child welfare agency), and would like to grow with in the company.
What comes in 2019 is my wedding. Me and John settled to get married this October 2019, and I'm a little nervous about the whole wedding planning process. And how much money we will possibly spend. We don't plan on having a HUGE wedding and we don't have thousands of dollars to blow, so a lot of DIYing will be happening but I am happy that we've planned at least when to get married. I bought my dress already and I think it's what is making me feel better and less anxious about planning a wedding.
This is mostly a memo to myself about some things that are sticking out of my mind right now with the new year coming. Here's hoping to less anxiety and more happiness 😊
