Alright, some random shit because i’m on a trip which is the reason i’m not very active but well… little crumbs:
1. Severus is not a “soft uwu secretly a cinnamon roll” man. He’s emotionally constipated, repressed as hell, and deeply uncomfortable with vulnerability, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t feel things intensely, it just means he’d rather die than express them normally.
2. He shows care through actions, not words. Fixing something for you, brewing something you need, subtly making your life easier, that’s his love language. If you’re waiting for verbal affection, good luck until he felt trust enough which it’s not easy.
3. He’s extremely observant. He’ll clock your habits, your moods, what stresses you out… and quietly adjust around it without ever acknowledging he’s doing it.
4. Jealousy? Oh, absolutely. But not in an explosive, dramatic way; more in a simmering, bitter, internalised resentment that leaks out in passive-aggressive comments.
5. He would never do public displays of affection. Not even holding hands in front of people unless he’s reached a level of comfort that takes literal years.
6. Physical affection is rare but very intentional. When he does initiate it, it actually means something; no casual touch, no mindless intimacy.
7. He respects intelligence above everything. If he’s with you, it’s because he genuinely considers you his equal (or close to it), not because of some shallow attraction.
8. He is absolutely the type to keep wearing the same clothes for years and not see the issue. If you try to get him to update his wardrobe, he’ll resist like you’re personally attacking him.
9. He doesn’t “move on” easily. Once he forms a deep attachment, it sticks whether that’s healthy or not is another conversation.
10. Arguments with him are brutal. He knows exactly where to hit, verbally speaking, and if he’s hurt he will go for the jugular before he even realises it.
11. That said, he’s capable of regret, but apologising properly? That’s a whole different battle. You’re more likely to get a quiet behavioural change than an actual “I’m sorry.” But he can do it if the person actually natters enough for him.
12. He values privacy to an extreme degree. Your relationship is yours, not something to be discussed, displayed, or shared with others.
13. He would hate anything performative or overly sentimental. Grand gestures, cliché romance… absolutely not. But if you ignore all that and put him in an exposed situation anyway, he’ll probably be internally cursing you and your entire bloodline, but he’ll suck it up, because deep down he’s a bit of a sellout.
14. If he trusts you enough to let you see his worst moments, that’s actually a massive sign of intimacy for him.
15. He’s not an easy person to love, and he knows it. There’s a part of him that’s constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop, for you to leave once you see all of him. And that fear quietly shapes how he behaves, even if he’d never admit it.
