the thing that makes me the most crazy about night watch & young vetinari is that at the end of feet of clay vetinari has a conversation with drumknott where drumknott says umm let me find it. he says, “The thought occurs, sir, that if Commander Vimes did not exist you would have had to invent him.” & VETINARI fucking says, “You know, Drumknott, I rather think I did.” but in night watch. NIGHT WATCH.
