you can tell a character is loved when their fans constantly wish immense physical and psychological harm on them

Tbh I don't understand anyone who denies their favorite character's flaws and acts like they've never done anything wrong when that is like consistently the most interesting part of any character ever

all the other squires keep making fun of me becuase my last three knights have died tragically and now I'm serving the knight who keeps going into secluded rooms with the prince to "discuss the kingdoms security" this is so embarrassing :///

since the concept of "romance as horror" keeps getting misinterpreted, id like to propose a much clearer alternative: romance as an instrument of torture

it’s so special to me that so much of fan culture is textual analysis for the love of the game. like thank god there are people in my phone who are also thinking about this thing i love so much that they are writing transformative fiction as character studies and setting clips of the show to music with theme-relevant lyrics and writing long text posts analyzing every line of dialogue like!! yay!!!
