the rationalist "we should clone a few thousand copies of von neumann cause they'll have really high IQ and solve all our problems" thing but for napoleon. what america needs is a (eunuch?) vat-grown napoleon clone leader class
they would literally all just kill each other
that's what the castration option is there for if necessary
Actually Napoleon had a ton of loyalty to his family and loved delegating so I think as long as you had one that was clearly a few years older than the rest to establish the initial hierarchy it would go ok
I was imagining that I personally would act as a father/uncle figure to my brood of napoleons, as head of the cloning program
"I bred a legion of Napoleon clones to be the officer corps of my fledgling dictatorship and now they've overthrown me and plunged the nation into a civil war of genetically identical but ideologically diverse factions that I must somehow defeat???"
Napoleon #08C0: Begone with you, Napoleon #1014! We'll never ally ourselves with a Bonapartist!
Comic Relief Sidekick Napoleon: Guys why can't we just Bon-together instead of Bon-aparte -_-
I would euthanize that one humanely. this is serious business
Well I wouldn't! I would kill it horribly and inhumanely, like say through drawing and quartering, and that's that!
Comic Relief Sidekick Napoleon getting drawn and quartered: "Aaaaa I'm getting Napoleon Tornaparte!!!"
this shit is why I came back to tumblr

Summer heron encounters !
My favorite bird subject is back into its seasonal location and was actually very cooperative these last few days !Â
a heron has no dead angles ! Looking at me over its shoulder (and beak)
For a poor little fish this was the end of the line....
Looking at the future !Â
I had a really good time doing art stuff and not checking my phone/internet during the day for past couple of days⊠the panel i made is a little rough and i need to clean it up a bit but iâm glad I did it!! Iâll get pics when i can work out how to prop it up on the windowsill without getting the lead polish everywhere.
Hereâs a bonus harbour pic from near the studio i went to:
Cleaned it up a bit and was too impatient to wait until itâs sunny (apologies for the oddly-cropped photos but i didnât feel like showing everything i can see out of the window!)
Let me examine closer *my eyes turn purple and blaze with spiritual power* oh yeah no that's an egret not a heron, it's got black legs

i love these sopping wet beasts
Iâve finally read one of those recent âuniversally hated in the fandomâ big Xmen crossover event : Age of Xman, and Iâve reached the conclusion that I should never listen to anyone ever again.Â
It was so cool !Â
If youâre into xmen stories, the concept will seem quite familiar : Ultimately powerful mutant uses his ultimate power to change reality to make his perfect world. (I mean the xmen probably spend more time into alternate timelines and realities than in their ârealâ world) But this one hits different.Â
Itâs cool, itâs queer, itâs subversive, the heroes spend more time talking about their feelings and how to deal with loneliness in all its different aspects than punching each others... (okay I might see why fans of mainstream comics might not enjoy it ^^)Â Â
One of the team starts a riot to prepare for the âBig Gay Apocalypseâ. The only thing I regret about that event is that itâs too short ! (5 issues per series, come onnnnn)Â Â

my great-grandfather had to leave italy in the 20âČs because he hit a fascist with a tuba, so if you think I am going to take this sitting down you are going to have to catch these hands and also this tuba
Fun story my Great Great Grandma left Germany in the 1920s because she had family in the US and could get citizenship pretty easily and once she was over in the US she then smuggled over 15 jewish families out by forging family documents so now my aunts are currently in the process of trying to tell the real ones from the fake ones because my great gran just died and there are legally over 100 surviving descendants but we know that math is a lil screwy.
Sometimes a family is you, your kids, your grandkids, your great grandkids, and the 15 Jewish families you helped smuggle out of Nazi Germany.
And your tuba
I should read some early Bernard Werber - Iâve only read one of his later books, Le PĂšre de nos pĂšres, and it was complete garbage (in a funny way, though - itâs a very entertaining book, best enjoyed in the company of someone to whom you can complain about it), but Iâve heard that he used to be goodâŠ
Wohawohawoha slow down ! I didnât say his early stuff was âgoodâ. I said it was very highly enjoyable for a twelve year old.Â

In my story there are two characters who in their childhood swore to fight each other to the death when they would be older, and of course I put that in because I like it and think it is fun, but I also feel like it is very dramatic, over the top ; but according to ViĂ©not de Vaublancâs memoirs, in the 1780s, students at the collĂšge of La FlĂšche would exchange written promises signed with their blood to fight to the death as soon as they would be out and free to do so.Â
Le vrai peut quelquefois nâĂȘtre pas vraisemblable, etc.
What Iâm wondering is how many students actually went through with it after school, and how many were just looking for âschool repâ for being in an homoerotic to the death hate relationship ?Â
An afternoon at the pond.
So apparently this is now a blog dediacted to my various encounters with a large wader bird. I have went back to my local pond where a not very shy heron lives.Â
I was quickly noticed.
And then yawned at !Â
Action shot : (but they only managed to pick up a piece of algae)
Bonus pic :Â
(This was actually taken at christmas on a very misty day, you can tell the light was quite different)
