Lore
Qi Xiaotain was raised in a small village by Pigsy and Tang, he often helped his father Pigsy cook and sell food for their money, Tang was a well educated man. Tang and Pigsy could not be openly together, Xiaotain knew they were together, but very few outside of family knew, Xiaotain was a strong and optimistic young man, if he were anyone else he'd be set to be married. But he didn't want that, and neither did his father's, they believed in marrying for love.
Not like anyone was lining up to be with Xiaotain, he was cubby, mostly in his belly and thighs. Though he had tried it was hard to get rid of considering he was constantly around home cooked meals, logically no one would really want to marry him, he wasn't rich, he wasn't conventionally attractive. And he wasn't going to force anyone to marry him. Maybe he could marry someone some day, but he was fine if he stayed single.
Mei Dragon is the descendant of Ao Run, dragon king of the West sea, she technically wasn't in line for the throne, but her family was still highly respected and worshiped by mortals, she didn't really care tho, she'd rather make friends and goof off. Which was easier said than done. She was a lovely woman, she wasn't considered the most beautiful, she didn't mind, she was chubby mostly in her hips and stomach, she also had muscles, no man wanted to marry her for her looks, they'd only marry her for her money. Not that she wanted to marry anyone.
Red Son is the heir to the demon bull clan, his mother and father are loving parents, but are also greatly feared by mortals and gods alike, Red Son was half celestial on his mother side so occasionally he would go to celestial events, where he would meet his “uncle” Nezha, who was basically his only friend, it was frankly kinda sad. Red Son was strong and short tempered, many demons tried to court him due to his high states and power, but he didn't see any of them worthy of his time, he had high standards and he believed no one would meet them, and of course he was fine with that (he wasn't).
Sun Wukong had messed up again with the heavens, so he was stuck under another stupid mountain. In his defense Heaven deserved it, he was trying to play nice but they pushed, and he pushed back. Heaven always deserved it. Wukong was the handsome monkey king, the heaven equaling great Sage, he deserved respect, not being imprisoned for trying to protect his mate.
Macaque was the queen of Flower Fruit Mountain. Or so the monkeys called him, he had become Sun Wukong's mate, they adored each other very much. They even tried to have an egg together (stone egg) but heaven found out and took the egg, Wukong fought back, he attacked heaven until they somehow managed to subdued him, Wukong had agreed to being captured so long as Macaque stayed unharmed, which the celestials agreed to.
Nezha was the Third Lotus Prince, the Marshal of the Central Altar, he was the uncle to Red Son, and younger brother to Muzha and Jinzha. When the celestials found out about the stone Egg Wukong and Macaque were trying to hatch they stopped them. General Li Jing, Nezha's father had ordered Nezha to dispose of the egg, crush it, throw it in a valvano, he didn't care, he wanted it gone. But before Nezha could he felt the egg plus in his hands, about to hatch. So he left the stone egg by a village where it soon hatched and watched from the clouds as a kind Pig Demon that appeared human took in the newly born child, Nezha had put a spell on the young monkey cube to put permanent glamour on him so no one would know of his origin, not in the mortal realm or the celestial. He occasionally flew by the village to check on the cube but never stayed for long, fearing someone would notice.
Pigsy used glamour to hide his demon features, he looked fairly human, Tang knew he wasn't human, but the village didn't need to know that. One day Pigsy was going to the field outside of the village to gather ingredients when he saw a young child wondering the field, no note, no nothing, just a child that was clearly lost, so Pigsy took the baby in and after no one claimed to be missing a baby Pigsy decided to raise them with Tang’s help, giving them a name, teaching them how to cook, do simple household chores, etc.
Tang lived with Pigsy, they had two rooms that they each had to sleep in if they had visitors due to their relationship being a secret. When Pigsy brought back a random child Tang fell in love immediately. Pigsy is registered as MK’s father, Tang is not legally MK’s dad but MK doesn't care.
