MK and Kai were on different parts of the battle field when they saw a bright Red orangish flame in the sky. They both looked a up and recognized it immediately.

MK: That… That flame

Kai: Could it be.

“He’s back” they both thought as they started running to the place where they saw that light.

Meanwhile Redson had just fully revived after blast a good 75% of the army. He gasped falling on one knee as he focused on his breathing. A concerned and teary eyed Ironfan rushed toward’s his side. “Ha’ier are you alright” she asked. Redson was shocked “Mother, What… What happened?” He asked hugging his mother. “You lost your flame” she said “Xiangliu took it away from you, but we got it back”. Redson seeming to recollect himself gets a flashback “I…” he starts “I remember I saw the explosion, and then MK astral projected to me saying something, I teleported in front of ka-“ then he stopped and gets worried “KAI!! Where-Where is he!? IS HE OKAY?!”. The princess in a calm tone says:“He’s fine my child, I saw him in the celestial realm and he’s currently fighting on the side’s” but it doesn’t help Redson at this point was spiraling a million thoughts went through his head “I couldn’t protect him, I failed him, I failed them, I was too weak to do anything, I’m a failure, I’M A FAILURE!!!, I’M-“ “FIREFLY!!!”

Red’s spiral was interrupted by a familiar voice. “MK?” He says as he looks up to see a teary eyed MK running towards him. Redson’s eyes immediately started sparkling and tearing up as he smiled and called to him “XIAOTIAN!!” “REDSON” MK replied. Redson looks at his mother who gives back a look that says “Go to him” and that’s what he did. Redson gets up and starts running towards his husband as MK follows suit. Both are panting tears in their eyes calling out to each other both wanting to reach their fellow spouse and when the finally reach each other, MK leaps into his housband’s arms as Redson pulls him into a spin hug as MK giggles and smiles the whole time, and then, they catch their breath tears streaming down each other’s face as they look at each other with love, and relief and then… They kiss and you can see the joy in both their eyes (and if you look closely you can see a smile on both of em).

As they finished their kiss they touched foreheads as they smiled Redson asks about Kai and if MK is okay, MK says that Kai is alright and that he’s fine and asks Redson the same question. “Tsk” the king scoffs “As if they put a scratch on me” MK smiled as he realized how much he missed his housband’s sassy attitude. “I missed you” “I missed you too mi amor” they said. And then they’re sweet moment was interrupted by a familiar voice.

“FATHER!!”. They both turn to to see Kai running towards them. “FATHER!” He calls again. “KAIXUAN” Redson replies, He gently puts MK down before walking towards his son(because he wasn’t that far), And then Kai leaps into his father’s arms as Redson hugs him back tightly, Tears streaming of relief and joy ran down each of their faces. “Father” Kai said softly, “ Hey there hùomìao” Red replied giving him a kiss on the temple. “I knew you’d come back” “You did hehe.. how?” “You said whatever happens you’ll always come back and Baba kept his promise so I knew for a fact you’d keep yours” . Redson smiled and nuzzled his son, and then MK joined in on the hug finally reuniting this family at last.
