“Man I remember trying to get tickets for a spice girl concert once as a kid…the tickets were gone before I could even blink…just poof. “ Sadie took the card with a grin. “Don’t worry I’m a great teacher. I’ll take good care of you.” She pocketed it carefully before taking a bite of the food they’d been ignoring. “I got my license on the first try, and I was only practicing on my permit for like six months beforehand. i was a fast learner.”
“Spice Girls? Really? I guess I could see you at one of their concerts.” Eskil mirrored her grin, allowing a smile of his own to be birthed. “I have no doubt about it. Looking forward to the lessons. ... Is that so? Well I sure hope that rubs off on me then. The quicker the better, right? Well, maybe not when it comes to driving, but also... yes.”
“No!? Come on, that totally would’ve been hilarious. And a great story to tell. Live a little!”
“I think I’ll pass. Why, would you do that?”
“I wish I knew that feeling – to finally know your way around. So far it’s mostly just a wishful dream, but maybe I’ll get lucky soon and get that direction sense of mine in order.”
“Just some more walking around and I’m sure it’ll come to you. Can’t stay lost forever, right?”
I need to break out now and then. Not always, but if I don’t, I get cranky.
“What’s that song called again? I know it was on the radio, but I don’t really listen much unless I’m in public or a cab.”

#i like this angle very much (x)
“Oh yes, it is for sure. I really enjoy it here. And I’m certain I want to stick around long enough to find my way around as well.”
“That’s a good goal, if you ask me. Coming from another person who used to get lost a lot, I know how it feels once you finally get a handle on your way around.”
I know when that hotline bling… That could only mean one thing
“That’s from some new song, right? Or do you always feel the need to break out in song and dance?”

“I bring sustenance. Just not the very healthy kind.”
“Thanks... but I don’t eat processed foods.”
I can’t be waking up besides dumpsters all the time, ya'know? Gotta get my ass home on occasion.
“Yea, that doesn’t sound too good either, to be honest. ... Have you really done that before? Wake up beside dumpsters? I feel like there’s a crazy story behind this.”

Nicole watched him, amusement sprawled on her face as he messed around with her. The reason she had grabbed onto him so quickly was his humor. Yeah, that wasn’t the most admirable quality of a person to look at, but she didn’t feel bad. As the girl got to know him, she realized that he was particularly harmless, so to speak. He wasn’t anyone that was going to cause her added-on stress, so Nicole wasn’t nervous about having him as someone to talk to. He had her laughing more than usual, which was always a good sign.
“You are so dramatic,” she replied, scoffing through a smile. As soon as he turned his attention elsewhere, she bent down and picked up a few DVD’s off the floor. Without even looking at them, Nicole simply placed them down on the sofa. “Hm? Oh, well when are you not hyper?” She asked as her eyes scanned down the movie titles. All the movies were the shittiest flicks in the history of film-making, but it was all she had. Not that he would mind, anyways.
“Fine. You can make the popcorn and I’ll get you your much needed water,” Nicole assured with a nod. “But when we’re done, you’re picking the movie since you’re my lovely guest.”
“Dramatic is my middle name, seeing as how I don’t have a real one,” the man replied, nodding as if to convince both himself and the woman before him. He hadn’t ever thought much about it, but he did find it rather odd that he didn’t have a middle name. While he had asked his grandmother about it before when he was younger, even she wasn’t able to give him a proper reason. It would forever remain one of the mysteries of his life, it seemed.
At her new comment, he couldn’t help but smile, shrugging in a playful manner as he added, “Hyper isn’t a bad thing...? At least I’m not a total drag. I doubt you’d invite me over if I was, right?”
Chuckling, he heaved a sigh, still smiling as he made his way for the kitchen. He shuffled through her cupboard, humming a song he didn’t know the name of as he removed a bag of popcorn seeds, olive oil, and a whirlybird popcorn maker he had brought to her house. The seeds were already opened from the last time he had visited for a movie night, and so he undid the rubber band, first pouring in the olive oil before adding the seeds. Setting the contraption on the stove, he turned on the heat, raising a brow as he glanced back at his friend.
“Oh, so now I’m a lovely guest?” Eskil teased, wiggling his brows as he paced back towards the couch where the woman had set the movies. Reaching down, he picked up two, turning them over onto their backs in order to read the synopses of each.
“It’s not much of a preventative method, at all” Cece chuckled, rolling her eyes at how dramatically Eskil shrugged. He was such a piece of work. She followed him close enough to feel that bump when he encountered the older woman, only lightly. Cece merely stepped back and her coffee was intact, but when she looked at Eskil and how drenched he was her eyes widened. “Oh Jesus” she whispered, not knowing if she should try and help, afraid it would make things worse. Stepping back, Cecilia made sure to grab a few more napkins to have them handy in case Eskil needed more of those; more than the lady and the employee had givem him. “Are you alright? Did you burn yourself?” Cece asked while seeing him pull the fabric from his skin. He’d be smelling of coffee for the rest of the week, she thought, and that made her smile a little. “How did you even do that?” she chuckled. “Let’s go to my place so you can get cleaned up, Eskil, it’s only a block away”.
There was no doubt that he was relatively disappointed in the entire event, and as he filled his lungs with coffee-soaked air, the man couldn’t help but allow a look of minor displeasure run across pale features. This look, however, only last for a moment or so before it become a sliver of a smile once again, and as he gratefully took the napkins handed to him, he found himself shaking his head at his friend’s suggestion.
“Nah, it’s all right,” Eskil replied, dabbing his shirt with the little brown sheets of paper, knowing it wasn’t really helping very much. He could feel the heat from the coffee on his kin, even though the shirt was separated from contact with his chest. “I have my gym kit in my bag.”
At the mention of whether or not he was burned, he found that he could do little more than shrug.
“I’m honestly not sure because my entire body feels like I just fell into a volcano.”
