see you again || cecilia & jason
Even though it’s been a year since he’s been back home, Jason loved being home. He missed the smell of fresh burgers from the Indigo Grill, the sea, and newly trimmed tress at the Forsyth Park. Taking a stroll downtown, he wanted to visit all of his favorite shops before going to work. Approaching a crosswalk, he didn’t know where to go. He wanted to check everything out, but didn’t know which way to go. Looking across the street, he saw a place he hasn’t been in a very long time. It was Sweeten Sour. That’s where he wanted to go next. When the walk sign reached his eyes, he walked toward the bakery with hesitance.
At this point, Jason didn’t know how to feel. He hasn’t seen Cecilia in a long time, and he didn’t even know if she worked there. Taking a deep breath, he opened the door and walked inside. With the bell ringing above him, he knew he would see someone soon. Looking around, his mind was showered with old memories. He would run around this place for hours with Cecilia and her cousins. Walking closer to the cashier, he saw the picture of little Cecilia dancing her life away and smiled softly. Hearing someone walk from the back room, he looked at the person and felt his smile grow wider. “Hey, old friend.”
