You were reorganized your clothes in Wonshik’s house after his staff brought lots of your stuff from your house. Wonshik suffered a lot from the last battle, bruishes and pain in everywhere, but he managed to keep smile in front of you. He was trying to make you less worries about him. You took care of him extra, paid attention to his needs and wants, even helped him to finish his jobdesk that he couldn’t do it by himself. Fortunately, there was no bones broken even he was nearly died because out of blood.

“Y/n! Y/n!! I’m talking to you! Do you hear me? Are you daydreaming? What did you think today?” Wonshik bombed you with several question. You chuckled and shookt your head.

“No. I don’t think anything. I just lost in my thought.”

Wonshik turned off the television that placed right in front of his bed and said, “Tell me what’s going on your mind. Don’t hide it, y/n.”

You sighed and checked your smartphone notification. Today was actually your father’s birthday. Back when your mother were alive, your family always gather to celebrate your father’s birthday. Your mother would cook some dish and bake a tart for your father so at the night dinner your family sang happy birthday’s song and make a wish by blown out the candle. It was a family tradition and somehow the last year, you still baked the cake for your father.

But today was another day, your father was sat down in front of the jugders. He received a full sentence of lifetime’s prison because of his crime against you.

You somehow felt sentimental, suddenly a tears fell down from your eyes. Wonshik suddenly moved himself closer toward you and approached you slowly.

“What– what’s wrong, y/n? Is there anything that bothers you?”

You suddenly cried and sobbed. Wonshik traces your hand and moved it through your arms then held you gently. Wonshik looked at you in the way that every woman wanted to be looked at, “Y/n … Tell me.”

“Today is my father’s birthday.” You murmured in front of him and tilted your head down, “Everytime our family member’s had a birthday, we always needed to celebrate it with a cake and a family dinner. We often sang a happy birthday song and blew out the candle to make a wish and recite the gratefulness. Even my father was being abusive toward me in these past years, but somehow I still served him a cake, family course of dinner and sang a happy birthday’s song.”

Your eyes turned red while sobbing in Wonshik’s arm. You continued your words, “Somehow … I really don’t understand about my father. How could he does this much? Why did he chooses this path of life? Why did he destroys everything and wasted his life this much? I knew from the first time when my mother had gone, I was going to fully in charge of my family especially my father. But when things got harder and his behavior gone wilder, I really had no idea but only forgave him for the abusive and destructive things that he did after our mother had passed away.” You hugged him and cried louder. You hit his chest in frustation and said, “And now … My one and only family is going to the jail for good. My future family couldn’t meet him. And he will never take my hand in my wedding as always as his wish. Even he is meanie, bad, and somehow vengeful … But he is the one and only parent that I have. He is the one and only family left since I have no siblings.”

“Y/n. I’m sorry to hear that ….” Wonshik wiped out your tears and said, “We could visit your father if you want tomorrow. I will take you there.”

You grinned, “No need to take me there, dear. My feelings toward him was too complicated. Way more complicated toward you. Yes. I love him. He is my father. My first hero. My one and only family left. But I also hate him, Wonshik. I hate him so much.” You punched the pillow in front of you.

“I hate him because he was so abusive and explosive after he lost our mother. I hate how he gambled to reduce his stress. I hate how he drunk day and night. Drop my money for drugs. Then beat me when everything in his life was hard. I hate the way he gave me difficulty for this long. And then, he is gone in my life. He finally disappears. I am going to not see him again and secretly I wish he was not my father. I really want to disown him if I could. But I found it really hard because my responsibility as a head of family.”

Wonshik caressed your head and tilt his down, “You know, y/n? Sometimes. A human simply doesn’t appropriate enough to be a parent. Sometimes, your parent could be so abusive toward you because he didn’t know exactly what he needed to do or to not to do. Being a parent was a hardest job ever. I am not a parent, but I am a teacher. A half parent. I take care so much students and I feel the hardship of being the parent by simply being a teacher. The responsibility, difficulty and the burden was no joke, y/n.”

“He is fucking adult, Professor Kim. He is older than me so he probably know what’s wrong or what’s right. He shouldn’t burden his daughter’s life like this. He shouldn’t make my life harder because his life is hard.”

“You somehow were too naïve to understand this topic, y/n. But parents are still human who probably make a mistake. I am not supporting his action but somehow I just want you to know that we are owner to ourselves after all. You are the master of your soul, not your parent, and not this world. Even the whole person treat you bad, you could bring out the best of you and being fully independent with your own shit just because you deserve it.”

You were very disappointed, “You seem like to force me to forgive him.”

“For your own sake of happiness and peace. Not his.” Wonshik cupped his hand to your face and smiled, “Y/n. let’s end this and start a new day. Forgive him because you deserved your own happiness and peace. Forgive him because you are larger than any obstacles that your father uphold for you. Look at yourself after this. Now you were going stronger than ever, wiser than ever, and probably there are a lot of positive result of the hardship and difficulty we cope for a long time. Look at yourself and you will found how incredible you are after all. I know it’s hard, but a happy birthday from you could lessen his pain and probably made everything better. Not being to brag, but you know why I am survived to be one of the biggest mafia out there?” Wonshik’s eyes were dreamy. He stargazed the whole sky and made you felt he was lecturing you in a very informal way.

“What? Your army? Your troops? Your ability to manipulate anything?”

“No. My ability to forgive and let go anything in my life.” Wonshik smiled toward the sky, “To keep moving without regretting or being victimized by the past. That’s the answer of your problem with authority figure.”

Wonshik found an answer that you sought for the lifetime. You clung your hand to his arms and leaned on him a little. His wisdom and words soothed you because nobody told you the lesson as Wonshik’s could do. You thought a little about his words and nodded, you fully understand his advice toward you and when you decided to follow his words. You were lighter than ever.

A star stroke down to the bright and shiny sky, crossed down then disappeared from your sight. You closed your eyes and wished for a brand new day. Tomorrow was another day, after all.

“You need to take a rest, Prof. You need to come back to your classes as soon as possible.” You opened your eyes and looked at him.

“Seems like my students actually enjoying the time where their professor needs to take several day bed rest.” He giggled.

“I’ll guarantee that somehow. But not too much.”

“Why?” Wonshik smiled while looked through at your eyes, “Don’t you hate me because I give you C on my subject?”

You giggled, “Yes. I really hate you. But I am fully understand why you could give me C. I was not attending your classes for more than two times. I also submitted the assigment lately. I deserve it.” You said to him. “Thank you for give me so much understanding, Prof. I am lucky enough to not have an E in this semester.”

Wonshik exhaled and cringed hard, “Ah! C'mon, y/n! It’s the right answer, but it’s actually not the answer that I mean to you when I ask you a question like that.”

You gave him a sharp sight and turned your body surfacing him, “So. Why did I have C in your class, Prof?”

Wonshik held his giggle and flustered, “I gave you a C in my class so I could give you a D in my bedroom, y/n.”

“….. KIM WONSHIK!!!” you hit him by a pillow while Wonshik evilishly laughing in the background when you started to yelled at him straightly. “IT’S NOT FUNNY, KIM WONSHIK!! I HATE YOU!!”

“You really have a poor sense of humor, y/n.” Wonshik still cackled while you were walking toward him and sat down right in front of him to pinched his arm and kick his legs. But it didn’t make him stopped from laughing at his own joke.

“I really hate you, Professor Kim. Especially your terrible sense of humour. Your dark joke is really trashy.”

“Oh, really?” Wonshik cupped your face and said, “But the last time I checked, I heard clearly that you confessed your feeling toward me. You love me, y/n. You can’t deny. I will looking toward the hospital’s CCTV to give it as a proof of your confession.”

“Can you not, please?” You pinched his stomach. If he wasn’t in a recovery, you probably want to fly him a slipper right into his face.

“I know, y/n. I love you too.” Wonshik held your face and pecks your lips several times before he clung toward you and hugged you like a koala.

You held his body and caressed his hair slowly. His hands were lingering around your body when his head rested upon your chest. Wonshik burried his face at your breast and hummed slowly. You pulled up the blanket to cover up Wonshik’s body. The night was quite cold so you were afraid Wonshik would get sick. You hugged him back to prevent the cold hit his body and kept him in warmth. Wonshik felt relaxed with this position and said, “I feel blessed to have someone like you, y/n.”

“I feel blessed to meet someone like you too, Professor Kim.”

“Could you hug me like this all night? I want to sleep next to you this day, tomorrow and forever.”

“So clingy of you.” You giggled and kissed his forehead, “You should sleep now. It’s been too late to stay awake like this. Tomorrow I will start a new class. Have I told you that I am very thankful to be your student, Prof? The classes were amazing. I wouldn’t ever forget every single moment of our learning processes.”

Wonshik tilted his head and pouted, “Don’t say something like that, y/n. It’s like you want to say goodbye to me.”

“Probably yes. Because start from this semester, I am no longer your student anymore, Prof.”

Wonshik sighed, “So please stay with me longer, y/n. I am not that so good man. But I am a loyal when it’s come to the relationship.”

You held his hand and said, “So you want to make your former student, worker, and debtor to be your lover?”

“Yeah. That’s right.” Wonshik smiled.

But you remembered that you were in last relationship 6 months ago, “I broke up with my last boyfriend 6 months ago. I don’t think that I am ready to be a girlfriend or starting a new relationship.”

Wonshik then woke up from his position and turned his body into you. He held your hand and handsomely stared at you in a very serious way, “What? No. Not a girlfriend. Wife. A wife.”

“WHATT?!” You screamed and widened your eyes, “KIM WONSHIK!! ARE YOU CRAZY ENOUGH?!! We only know each other for less than 6 months and the complex relationship between us was a really mess. How could you jump into this decision to take someone who haven’t you dated before to be your wife?!!” You yelled at him and put your hands on your waists.

Wonshik snuggled toward you and murmured, “Uh. I dunno, I don’t hear anything. The marriage form will be sent to us tomorrow. What kind of wedding theme would you pick? How many children would we have? Where did the place you want to go for our honeymoon?”

“JUST SLEEP. KIM WONSHIK! IT’S 1 AM!!”

“I–”

“Talk again or I will let you sleep alone here today, Kim Wonshik!”

Wonshik pouted his lips and cuddled your body immediately as he mumbled cutely. Looked at him with his cuteness overload sometimes made you questioned was he really a devil professor or just a happy go lucky toddler that came into your life. But you cuddled him back and silently felt happiness inside your heart bloomed. You stared at his sleep face, he was too innocent and too angelic to be somewhat cruel and mean like what the world tell him about. For you, that man was just an angel fell from heaven and had no idea on how to reveal his real himself toward the world. You smiled toward his sleep face and kissed it slowly. He was a precious gift that you wanted to keep forever.

And what made it more important that the fact if there was someone who as freaking good as him who love you wholeheartedly. Someone who was gone through a lot with you then gave you his wisdom of his understanding and consciousness. Someone who willing to sacrifice his life in order to save you. Your half.

You couldn’t ask more. He was too perfect.

But in the end. Someone was knocking your classroom’s door. Everybody was disappointed. Then the knob was pulled down to revealed a man with his glasses that came out from the outside, walking fast through his desk when the people on your classes were shouted, “I’m going to die again!!”

The man who sat down in front of your class said, “Yes, bitch. I will continue my domination story toward this classroom for the next 6 months. We will make this relationship until our first anniversary, don’t we?”

“Fuck.” You immediately cursed him in front of the class. The people were looking at you horribly in a how-can-you-curse-toward-him-that-frankly? You suddenly shocked when you realized you cursed your professor in not so good situation

“Miss y/n. Is there something that make you curse at me bravely? You can leave this classroom now if you don’t like me. The door is open for you.”

Wonshik smiled sarcastically, you gulped and tilted your head down, “I do apologize, Professor Kim Wonshik.”

Hongbin : Stop it, Jaehwan!! You gonna make me angry!! Fight with me in XBOX!! Oh, wait. You don’t have an XBOX!!
