For just this weekend in honor of valentine's day my book will be available for free. Book synopsis: The reader follows two unnamed lovers whose souls have become entangled as one. How did they end up this way and what are the repercussions of sharing a single soul? The answers are unclear but seeming to reside at the center of it all is a magical Japanese cherry tree and a Catholic priest unsure of his faith. As we navigate through the surrealist web of dream sequences, memories, nostalgia, gypsy magic and misplaced modern love songs, an image begins to emerge. All this leads up to a beautiful yet heartbreaking climax with a spiritual lesson about letting go. This melancholic love story serves as a warning to our culture's sometimes codependent tendencies while also managing to revitalize us with hope and bring about our own will to love freely. Sitting in jury duty yesterday I wrote this: "As he sat in the courtroom awaiting his fate he couldn't help but melt before the judge. She sat elevated on a wooden throne, calm, composed with round gentle eyes and thin curled lips concealing a tested compassion contained between the black rivers of her parted hair. He was awestruck by her beauty and couldn't help but think that judges, or perhaps this one judge was an angel who had merely lost her divine luminosity and was forced to walk among us without wings. Yet, he imagined, she still desired to help keep the sacred order but now was reduced to using the cold and rigid wings of the law while she resided beneath yellow florescent lights that cheaply imitated her former glow."
