BE RESPECTFUL.
be respectful of your fellow osc fans. it doesn’t matter if they don’t like characters or ships you do, and vice versa. it doesn’t matter if you think they’re ‘too young’ or ‘too old’ to like object shows. we are a community of people getting together to enjoy something that we all love. the way some of yall talk to each other online over fictional characters is genuinely concerning at times with how much hatred you guys can fit in your hearts over these objects. for once, if never else, be kind to one another.
be respectful to the people behind the shows. the creators, the voice actors, the animators, everyone. whoever is there, and whoever isnt, do not go out of your way to be an ass. they’re people too, and they honest to god owe us nothing. their shows aren’t locked behind any paywall, we get them for free. every episode. and nobody is forcing you to watch their shows. with the way some people talk online, there comes a point where i really wouldn’t blame them (ae AND jnj) for putting their shows on hiatus for a year or two. just…be respectful to the people who are a huge part of the reason we even have an osc.
this is not targeted at everyone, by the way. there are so many kind, respectful, amazing people in the osc (see: the mods of this blog!) and this is not to them. the people this is for should know who they are.
