Evening, I respect your decision to private the website indefinitely but am a bit confused as of what led to this decision, I am not apart of this fandom but still quite enjoyed the website and would simply want to understand what had happened to lead to this decision if that is alright with you
People started selling my artwork while it was marked non-commercial and for private use only. (The issue was "selling character using only screenshots from my picrew". Like a fucking NFT. Guys. Create characters but don't fucking sell them if you didn't change anything in the design. Or didn't even make a single art of them aside my picrew. Use your damn heads.)
Then the person that alerted me got yelled at by some random because "Now you ruined it for everyone" (Aka "Don't tell the artist they are being taken advantage of, so I can play with it")
Some random fucking idiot (I think you can still see it on my blog) tried to bully me into giving them the raw files of my picrew, so they can upload it themself and take the credits. (which damn. Good luck, these files are so damn confusing, believe me.)
People stopped seeing me as a person. Started demanding new features/items all the time. Some got really damn parasocial with me too. Like all I'm here for is shit out more art for nothing in return. (You guys are aware that I'm just some random human on the internet. Right? Right?? Basic stranger-danger is dead these days.)
I got actual death threats after privatizing it (Which lead me to drop that picrew altogether. Yall. I don't own y'all shit. I made it for free cuz I wanted to try making a picrew. You didn't pay for shit.)
Further actions of MD fandom as whole towards creators I know personally lead me to pretty much distance myself from it. Some of yall really were never told no.
