This is probably my favourite line of Alya’s from the whole finale.
Like. God.
She knows Marinette so well.
She knows that Marinette is her own worst enemy, knows that Marinette has—on some level—good intentions. She understands exactly the logic that Marinette has been using to justify her choices. Knows that Marinette will always put her loved ones’ happiness above her own wellbeing.
She doesn’t want to be mad at Marinette. The lie itself hurts, but it also hurts that lie causes Marinette hurt.
And despite all of that, this is one thing Alya can’t excuse.
Sorry but no one can make me hate Alya.
No, she isn't a bad friend. No, she wasn't "too hard" on Mari. No, she's not a hypocrite. No, just because she's Mari's bff doesn't mean she has to agree with everything she does.
In fact, I think she wasn't angry enough.
As much as I love Marinette, she's not the only 14 year old here, and she's not the only victim of Gabriel/Monarch.
I haven't seen anyone point this out yet, so I will. Adrien's desire to turn his house into a museum ties perfectly into his arc all season. He starts the season out not wanting to go home. Not wanting to go home so badly that he turns around and starts running away.
And all season we see him unable to get comfortable in that house. His stuff is in boxes. He can't figure out how to paint his walls. He doesn't feel at home there. The whole place already feels like a museum or mausoleum to his father's life. And suddenly he gets an idea. "What if it really WAS a museum?"
What if instead of having to live in the shadow of his father, he could make the house into what it already is. A monument to a man he never knew and never understood. An archive of the past. Something OTHER than a home. Because it doesn't feel like a home to him, it hasn't in a long long time. Yes Marinette contributed to his idea of "making people see the great man Gabriel was." But it's really not about that, it's about making the house make sense to him, and having an excuse to get out. Because you can't LIVE in a museum. Can you. The museum idea is Adrien finding a way to get out from under the house....the only way he has found that feels socially acceptable.
i need marinette and alya to have SO MUCH TENSION in their friendship now that nino and adrien pick up on it. i need everyone around them to pick up on it. i need marinette to tiptoe around alya now and i need alya to be So Over It. im obsessed with them.

more season 7 leaks for you guys
This episode feels more like a bridge episode between two seasons than a season finale. NGL, Secret Protocol set the bar very high in terms of thrills and sensations. And the teasers in trying to hide the most they could felt misleading to the fandom (the episode summary was on point though). Nonetheless, the episode notably reestablishes and summarizes all the consequences of Marinette's Secret™ about Gabriel this season.
Marinette sees what her actions with Adrien have leading him to : he is yet again living in his father's shadows. It wasn't her wish for him yet this is the result of her constant lies. She has gaslighted him into this false reality and she regrets it. Yet she cannot figure out how to untangle the multilayered mess she created. She is deep into an hole she dug herself and she doesn't see the light of the surface. At this point, no matter what her options are, she has also realized she will only hurt him and break his heart. And this is what pains her. Which leads me back to her dialog as Viper Bug in Mister Agreste - what happens when you are the one responsible behind the suffering and misery of the one you have sworn to protect at all cost? Do you truly get a second chance? Can you hope for forgiveness?
And surprisingly, they make a little parallel with the Gabriel's secret and her revealing her parents her super-identity. Now that they know the truth, they try to act chill but Marinette sees how worried they are about her. This is a permanent change from the season. With time, she might accept and welcome their support more, but right now, she regrets having told them precisely because they aren't blissed by ignorance anymore.
Same goes with Alya who has now figured out the truth and no memory erase spell can save Marinette this time around. In this episode Alya states clear boundaries between Marinette and her. IMO this is the best possible outcome. She will still help out if Paris is in trouble because that much is at stake (and that is why Alya is a A-ranking superheroine in my book). But Alya draws a line at what Marinette can use her for from now on. Cross that line again and they won't be friends anymore. And her line reminds us what Marinette made her do back in Lady Chaos. The episode gave the tone about upcoming Alya's interactions. Respectful but colder and distant for next season. So long Marinette's hasn't told Adrien the truth about his father.
Speaking of Alya, as Rena, she handled the team extremely well when LB was incapacitated. Even if it was part of the plan, Rena has material to be the leader of her own dedicated unit one day. (Again, linking back to Illustrhater ending).
For those mad that the episode had to spell it out that Chrysalis is a shapeshifter while it was obvious to the (older) audience, it wasn't for the characters. The new information is rather that Chrysalis is able to shapeshift consecutively. For us, I think it is safe to theorize that whoever was from that portal at the end of S5 finale gave her that power. And it might not be a Miraculous power either.
In Nemesis, Lila suffers her first real setback imo. It's the first time the Miraculers get that close to her. Although, they didn't do much further than that. The Butterfly Holder escaped and burn all the evidences in their lair. After this, it won't be surprising if the Miraculers won't get access to the Butterfly Holder for a long time. Lila will be more careful from now on. And so will the Miraculers now that they know about the Butterfly's additional ability.
Btw, it was nice for them to clarify that Marinette's secret protocol did work in the previous episode and truly bought herself time. Lila might not suspect her as being LB anymore, but she sure cannot help but be delighted and profit out of Marinette's misery as a little vengeance.
Happy birthday! 🎂 My best wishes 💕
Omg anon I'm so sorry I totally missed your ask and I'm seeing it only now (my birthday was back in May 😭)!! Thank you so much that was very sweet and thoughtful 🫶🫶🥹
"Tikki is evil" agenda stocks are rising after Secret Protocol btw
Tikki was evil on two fronts this episode because first of all she was giving questionable advice to Marinette such as "you're worried and suffering from anxiety? Easy: ✨ stop ✨ 🙂☺️💁♀️✨"
And second of all...well well well, turned out Marinette was right for being worried...I bet Tikki knew that 😈
Noe Luksus
Well, we have a pretty big new character drop, and I am dying to deep dive! This slimy dude right here, Noe Luksus.
I kept thinking, god, this guy looks so familiar. The blonde hair and white and black outfit is giving re-verse Adrien from the Paris special, but there's something about his face shape that's totally bothering me.
And of course, it takes me til the very end for that AHA moment. 😅
But once it hit, boy, did it all start falling into place! (After much discussion this morning with friends!)
Here's what we all managed to collect:
So right out with it, Noe calls Audrey "Mother," and DING DING! Suddenly I realize why he looked so familiar! He's literally a male Chloe. And now I don't know how the hell I didn't see it sooner!
Secret Sibling stuff aside, (Like seriously? If I had a penny for every time Chloe got a secret sibling... I'd have two pennies 😂)
So now we have Chloé, Zoé and now Noé? Yeah, it follows the pattern. (Real original naming system there, Audrey.)
They all also have different last names, (Bourgeois, Lee, and now Luksus) but out of the three, I feel like Noe and Chloe look the most alike. So is AnaximAndré the daddy? I'm curious to know how the heck this all works. Okay, so how does mister greaseball fit into this whole thing?
He's trying to purchase the Gabriel company from Adrien. He owns, or is part of, a lot of companies.
Which are all arranged in the shape of a crown. (Oh yeah, that's not obvious or anything) Now it's interesting to me that if these companies are connected to the 'Kingdom' as I suspect, then is Gabriel's company not already in the web of companies? Adrien has inherited the company; we get that info in Revelator. So the Kingdom, and Noe, need to get their hands on it. And it's now been placed in the hands of a child.
Now, why this connection to the kingdom is important:
The "Kingdom" has identified Gabriel Agreste as the "Diamond" and told us that he is dead. Then they introduce the new "King of Luxury", where it hovers over the Diamond symbol, implying that the "King of Luxury" is replacing the Diamond.
Then Audrey calls Noe "Diamond dear." And yes, it's a little on the nose, and yes, it could be a nickname/pet name. (Sure.)
But you know what I think is interesting???
His name. Luksus. Luksus LITERALLY means Luxury in Danish, Polish, Norwegian, and in German its spelled Luxus, but is similar enough for me to include. (There may be other languages too i didn't look that deeply.)
His first name, Noé, could possibly refer to the biblical name Noah, (Meaning comfort, quiet, rest) but I also found that in Danish and Norwegian, Noé means "Something" or "Anything". I don't know if his first name has as much significance as his last name, but I thought I'd throw that in there.
Then it was mentioned that the symbol for his company kinda gave off a Louis Vuitton vibe, and then-- found this!!
A Louis Vuitton, (Luxury brand) bag that is literally called NOE? 🤔
Then, at the end of it all, he says this: "Now everyone in Paris knows who I am."
Because he's the new face. He's there to replace Gabriel in the public eye. They wanted his name and face out there, publicized. I dunno about you, but I think we can all say hello to our new King of Luxury, Noe Luksus.
Thanks to @jigglypuff1994, @fandomofone and @raspberrycatapult for everyone's input and research and theory spinning!!

SPOILER FOR NOE EP!!! I'd probably need to see more of Audrey and Noe's interactions before getting a grasp on their dynamic, but so far I'm getting this vibe from Audrey. Noe (the favourite child who has proven himself to be a true insufferable capitalist lol), Zoe (the traitor who she can't be bothered with), and Chloe (the one in the middle of Noe and Zoe, where her views align closer to Noe's yet she failed when obtained power as per s5, so she needs training to get better at it?)
As soon as I saw the name of the episode was Noé I told my friends jokingly that it had to be Chloé and Zoé's secret brother because the name ends the same and then it turns out I was right jfjdjdjdjd (and as soon as I saw his face I was like okay that is def a male Chloé face 💀)
I agree with you on how Audrey views each of her kids. Of course we'd need more information on how she interacts with Noé, is she a puppeteer and he's been "trained" to act exactly how she wants, or is he just as much of a "mastermind" as she is and she sees him as her equal of sorts? Or something else. But right now he def plays into what she wants and expects so he's her favorite!
I'm also wondering if one of these kids could be a sentimonster or not, considering the rich kids of the evil organization's track record hahaha and if so, which one(s?) it is. And if that's the case, what difference does it make in how Audrey sees them? But I'm getting ahead of myself here and throwing random theories than what we have right now 😂
Rewatching Oni-chan after Yaksi Gozen hits different, specifically the scene where Lila is annoyed when seeing Kagami in Adrien's fencing photo and then boasts about how she lived in Japan for a few years like hello?? 🤠 Her also fixating on Kagami in ML Perfection - I thought it was just because she wanted to ruin Marinette's friendships outside of her class but it was something more personal 🤠
There are sooo many past episodes that we can rewatch with new lenses after Yaksi Gozen for real!!
Thanks for pointing all these stuff out anon 👀 love how you were able to catch all these stuff... And I agree, her trying to get closer to Kagami in S5 was surprising so with that new layer of possible information, it makes lots of sense and makes it all super intriguing! I can't wait to get more information and confirmation about what Lila's relation is to Tomoe, if she's indeed her daughter or something else, but there is definitely something going on !
so i remember at the end of s5 protection (?), Kagami tells Lila over the alliance call on how she'd like to be friends and Lila was all "oh you're MORE than a friend, you're like a sister to me :) " like ???????
‼️‼️Anon!!! You have such a good memory omg!!! 🤯 I checked and it's not at the end of Protection, but at the end of Perfection (which makes even more sense in terms of what Kagami represents to Lila with that new theory) :
(I roughly translated to English the French version)
And since I rewatched part of Protection to answer your ask, it allowed me to rewatch Lila calling Kagami "perfect" more than once 👀
Really well spotted anon!!
So this was heartwrenching….
This absolute behemoth of a scene made the whole episode for me.
So what do we think of the "You're not a precious diamond. You're just a stone." line now uh?

Kagami and Lila having the same French VA takes a whole other sense all of a sudden
Tomoe seems to have dropped the secret council's name during the flashback when she received a call with Gabriel.
