we can keep doing this all day but the reality of the world is that very few people don’t face any kind of oppression at all and everyone exists in a complicated, intersecting web where they have privileges over some people in some contexts and some others are have privilege over them in other contexts. no one individual is incapable of enacting oppression and if you think that about yourself you need to go away and interrogate that belief.
this image does more for movements like anti-racism than most other statements unironically. the idea that we should "treat everyone equally" is like genuinely detrimental to those of us with less power. it just makes you race-blind. some of us need more support, we need to be elevated ABOVE those with more power (the taller dog) to account for just how disempowered we are.
Equity vs Equality. Equality is not possible since discriminated people aren't treated with consideration. For example, in an equal world, it wouldn't matter what skin color you are and rather if you are for the job. Our world never works in an equal way. Therefore, treating people with equity is the true fairness. Since we know racial bias and a preference for white and white adjacent is how our society runs, we then have to balance things out to try and minimize this racial bias. This applies to social and abstract concepts as well, not just physical or legal things.
i fear all too quickly people have forgotten that in JK Rowling's very first TERF blog post published in 2020, she specifically talks about a "trend" of young girls transitioning to boys and regretting it. and worse, she mentions autistic girls specifically. to TERFs, trans men are the evil groomers who steal away disabled/mentally ill girls that "don't know any better", it's why books like Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters by Abigail Shrier have such an effect. this is the intersection of misogyny (denying those deemed girls their bodily autonomy), ableism (denying disabled people their bodily autonomy) and anti-transmasculinity (viewing a transition into masculinity as "dangerous").
Tell me you don't understand intersectionality theory without telling me you don't understand intersectionality theory:
It drives me batty that some people will try and logic away transandrophobia/anti-transmasculinity by saying that transphobia and androphobia can't intersect because androphobia doesn't exist.
Because in doing so, you are misrepresenting intersectionality. You are lying, intentionally or otherwise, about a Black woman's writing in order to justify your shitty martyr complex/pick-me anti materialist takes. And if it is unintentional, you haven't bothered to read anything by Kimberlé Crenshaw and your confirmation bias is showing your whole ass.
Intersectionality is about the intersection of identities and how they result in unique forms of oppression that aren't accounted for by taking both identities separately. She talks about how it applies to Black men! She even talks about how it's applicable to white men, because it is a tool of analysis!
Hell, she even complains about people treating it as if it's additive (e.g. transphobia + misogyny, or misogyny + anti-Blackness) when it's not. The language she uses is always 'gender' and 'race'.
Intersectionality is the ideal tool for looking at how all kinds of trans people are treated, because the gender identity rarely aligns with how we are treated, and there isn't a cis frame of reference for non-binary folks in the first place. Transandrophobia and anti-transmasculinity are just terms for parts of an intersection that factually, objectively exists.

No one hates women more than TERFs. No one is more misogynistic than them. They are white nationalist, conservative, trad wife adjacent sexist douche bags.
I’ll never get over this. I’ll never stop talking about it. There’s too much at stake for my trans friends, family, and all. There’s too much at stake for those who cares about liberation and bodily autonomy. I’ll always be calling TERFs out as long as they exist and dirty up feminism and as long as they are an especially virulent scourge HERE.
Ya know who’s never made me feel reduced to my fucking menstrual cycle? Or implied my brain is fundamentally worse than a cis man’s? Or outright disparaged femininity? Or told me that I don’t understand feminism? Or showed up in the notes of my post telling me I don’t know myself? The trans women I know, follow, am connected to, and read.
I’m not 20. I’m not new. (There’s nothing wrong with being either of those things I’m just not them.) But almost every time TERFs run away with my posts attacking me bc I hate their twisted views, they infantalize me and say I must not know anything or be a kid. Or that I don’t intimately KNOW ALREADY what their fucked up views are and have rejected them for good reason.
They hate that the truth is that me and millions of folks just like me have been in feminist spaces longer than many of them have been alive and because of said feminist exposure we are trans positive, inclusive, celebratory, affirming, loving, and solidarity oriented.
The linkages between the experiences of cis and trans women are obvious, overt, clear, and undeniable. Misogyny is misogyny.
I’ve been in said spaces since 2003 and have worked in feminist, girl serving and focused nonprofits since 2005. TERFs/their views make me feel disgusting, small, stuck, and hated. I don’t know how many trans folks I’ve known and interacted with in my IRL lifetime but it’s definitely north of 30 bc 2 of my closest friends (who I’ve known since my late teens) are trans and welcome me into their spaces and several of my coworkers are trans/nb. I can’t think of a single trans person online or IRL who has dismissed my lived experience or harassed me in my inbox like the TERFs here do. (I don’t know any TERFs IRL but maybe they’re hiding. I was unfortunately educated by at least 1 in my under grad gender studies classes in the early 00s which began to cement my trans positive stance.)
ANYWAY I keep ranting and rallying on this stuff bc time and time again TERFs treat me like shit and trans women treat me like sisters. It’s unhinged to see and feel this and watch trans folks face relentless attacks. Anti trans bias and violence dressed up as feminism is fucking wrong. It just is.

I always have a sick feeling in my stomach when I see people continue to glorify and travel to Dubai knowing exactly how that city runs and how the UAE is profiting off of genocide in Sudan. It’s the same feeling I have looking at people partying in Tel Aviv knowing what is happening just miles away - they should both be treated with the same amount of disgust. Shame the people who glorify that city, shame the people who vacation there, shame the hypocrites who claim to care about Palestine while enjoying stolen gold. Hate the UAE for the same reasons you hate Israel, all genociders should never know a moment of peace.

Sudanese American Physicians Association's medical aid program - they operate a hospital in khartoum, **the ONLY hospital still delivering babies in sudan**
One Million Sustainable Pads Campaign - distributes reusable pads
FAH Supporting Sudan - financial assistance to sudanese hospitals, backed by the FAH / federation of american hospitals
Community kitchen in Cairo - provides food to refugees who have fled to egypt
