My favourite and least favourite thing about Vincent is that he's unfortunately right: many people do prefer a crunchy story to the truth! He is far from dumb and a great vessel to carry the message of Revelator.

I don't know if it's unpopular per say, but I don't think people give his intelligence enough credit. Just because his business model is deeply unethical doesn't mean he isn't good at it!

A character yearning for a better world and willing to commit atrocities for it... where do I sign??? These characters are so often men (see: Clive, Félix, and to a lesser extent N) — it is so refreshing to see a WOMAN cut heads with her battleaxe!!! 🥰

The fact that she had so many siblings and not one of them survived breaks my heart to fucking pieces 😭 It's part of what makes her backstory so gripping but MAN...

She feels like someone I would be friends with... in the early days the fandom would reduce her to a somewhat hot-headed tomboy comedic relief, but I'm happy to say we've collectively moved past that. Yes she can kick ass but she also likes shopping. Yes she is a bit of a daredevil but she has such a soft personality at heart. Yes she is an excellent cook but also can we let her rot her own teeth on candy please??? Im wuv her 💛

OKAY SO when I made the fankid this blog was named after (over 10 years ago at this point), I had just read Amélie Nothomb's Hygiène de l'Assassin, which had given me a new appreciation for the name “Nina”; so I called her that, and only later did I realise that there was an actual character named Nina in Eternal Diva. The excuse I made up a posteriori is that Emmy really liked the name and promised herself she would give it to her daughter should she ever have one.

In Azran Legacy she daydreams about her ideal honeymoon... 🥺 I think marriage and perhaps a family is something she desperately wants, but doesn't believe she deserves nor can realistically get...

The entire akuma concept in Animaestro and how it pays tribute to so many other works + let the animators have fun. I just know they had a blast making this one. And the detail of the magic stopping when no one is watching it happen... 🥹

He knows André's short filmography intimately and hates all of it. But he still rewatches it once a year and finds new ways to complain about it. Which, in a weird twisted way, is a sort of compliment!

If I had created a widely popular and ambitious kids' show I would also put a self-insert in there. Life is too short not to be proud of your work.

I generally don't care much for relationship drama, so it's hard for me to be invested in whatever is going on with the trio. It might have been easier if they had been introduced in another season — between Chrysalis, Noé, Fury, and them, that's a lot of new threats to account for all at once!

It used to be Marigami, but then Feligami came in with a steel chair. Currently I really enjoy Ladrien/Adribugnoire, Trionyx/Renardette, Lukadrien, Alyanette, the Core 4, Zoénette, Lilanette... Marisublime and Marirupé also intrigue me... I'm not hard to please!

After an extremely successful few years as a fashion designer, she eventually gets burnt out and decides she would rather help at the bakery for a while. This turns out to be a much better fit for her career-wise, although her perfectionism still plays tricks on her once in a while!

No one else but her could be our protagonist and Adrien's role in the narrative is perfect as it is. Hope this helps 👍
