I did a powerpoint presention on @taylorswift so that I could go to rep tour indy.. đđheres my story
Hi @taylorswift !!! Iâm Rachel and Iâve been a fan of yours since your self-titled album came out in 2006. I was 15 years old⌠Iâm now 27 and getting ready to start my family! I created a pre-kid bucket list (so weird to think about) and seeing you during the reputation tour as many times as work and my wallet would allow, is all I really wanted to do! (Well and go camping in a tent but thatâs happening lol) I am so incredibly lucky to be getting the most out this tour by seeing you 3 times! I have been to Columbus, Cleveland and now I will be heading to my final show, Indianapolis! I wanted to write you and tell you about how I ended up being able to go to this last show, because it is kind of hilarious..!
The thing about the Indianapolis show is that in order to get the full 100% go ahead from my husband, I had to create a PowerPoint presentation on the reasons why it was crucial I attend(it was not so obvious to my husband but rest assured it is now) He asked that I provide him with 5 content slides but when it comes to you @taylorswift, I have to go all out and, it was an opportunity to educate my friends and family on why you mean so much to me! I prepared a 20 slide PowerPoint presentation titled:
@taylorswift: A Meta-Analysis on the Importance of Attending the Reputation Stadium Tour in Indianapolis
I discussed in depth how every single on of your albums affected me at all the different stages in life I was facing when they were released. I talked about all of the memories I have with me forever when songs from the albums play. My family wanted to film this portion because I cried almost 90% of the time and it wasnât a cute cry. Your music has been there for me during the most important times in my life. I cannot thank you enough for what you have done for me @taylorswift ! Especially Speak Now, 1989 and reputation. Those albums and every song on them helped me become who I am today and gave me light in the dark in ways I cannot begin to describe. Most recently my dad went into cardiac arrest on a treadmill and needed to have emergency open heart surgery. Out Of The Woods got me through to the very end. âThe monsters really did turn out be just treesâ, though i wasnât convinced for a long time.
After talking endlessly about how much you and your music have shaped me and helped me, I moved on to the Physical and Psychological benefits of attending concerts: most importantly the reputation stadium tour. Reputation stadium tour is a great source of exercise, provides pain relief, stress reduction, sense of community (swifities 4 life!), reflection on life events, and a strong sense of well-being. Of course, I already know how good you are for my mental health! I took a very serious approach on how rep tour really provides psychological benefits in all these ways. (I donât know if you have noticed but I was a psychology major)
@taylorswiftâ donât know if you realize how much research there is proving that you and your music are very beneficial for us all! Youâre helping all of us so much through your music every day and every show you perform!
There is separate slide titled: Psychology, Well-being, & @taylorswift . Well-being is very important because it is our whole sense of good quality of life. Past, present, and future events in our life create this. Used in a sentence: âRachelâs well-being drastically improved after she went to the @taylorswift concert in Indianapolis. Her husband should always be open to her going because she is a better person.âÂ
It was found in a study that 20 minutes of a concert can increase a personâs well-being by 21%. Taylor Swift reputation tour performance lasts from opening to ending about 2.5 hours. So thatâs 150 minutes, thatâs 157.5% increase in well-being!!! (and thatâs not including CharliXCX and Camila Cabello!!) No stress or sadness with @taylorswift
Of course, I let them all know about the rep room, because I think it is such an important, fun and unique thing that you do at your concerts! You make so many of our dreams come true and you make an effort to do so when you donât have to. Youâre amazing in so many ways but that is one thing I just love about you and showâs how connected to us you feel! Not to mention that the rep room makes the concerts more of a blast for everyone in my personal opinion.
At the end of the presentation, I played a video of myself lip syncing songs that portrayed what could happen if I wasnât allowed to attend the concert (comedy piece of course! đ) Songs included were: Bad Blood, This Is Why We Canât Have Nice Things, and Blank Space. I had so much fun coming up with this concept and filming it. Hereâs a gif of that below haha
FinallyâŚÂ I received an excited âYES!â and I am heading to Indianapolis to see you for my last show!
I will be in Sec D, Row 28, Seats 1&2 dressed as glitter on the floor with my best friend in the whole world! I hope I can hug you and thank you for everything you have done for me through your music. And thank you for giving us this amazing fandom, it exists all because of you and i have made some great friends. Â
@taylorswift You have been such a constant in my life and brought me so much joy during the best times and some of the hardest times of my life since I was a teenager. Â
We have grown up together and as I move into the next phase of life I canât wait to take you with me! I never knew that when I heard Tim McGraw the first time that you would be such a huge and amazing part of my life! It would mean the world to me if we could hug this era because to be honest, I donât know when or if the opportunity will come for me again! I love you so much and I will see you soon! @taylorswift @taylornation
hope you found this story funny and heartwarming â¤ď¸ @taylorswift
