To try and help myself not spend too much or buy a billion things my boyfriend doesn’t need, I implemented a 5 gift limit. As planning went on, I started to realize a lot of my “gifts” are more experiences than anything, and are costing me WAY more in the long run. Did I start readjusting my plans once I realized this? Yes. Did I CHANGE any of these plans? Nah.

So now we’re doing an experience once a week as a special “date night” sort of thing, where I can give him a new gift each week. I did have to work together with him for the first surprise which was a cooking class we’ve wanted to do for a year, so we can each get a discount cause these are up there in price but worth it 😅

Week two will be one of my favorites because I get to go “surprise babe, you’re now a level 3 good mythical society member!!” And watch his mind explode. It also comes with a great discount I can use to get a ton of gifts from the actual website itself for Christmas. We’ll order in whatever food he wants and spend the night watching all the new content we can.

Week three will be a concert/rave with a group we enjoy so we can let loose and dance and focus on having fun together with good music 🥰 and maybe some birria? Because god how good is birria?

Last but not least, just days before Christmas, we’re gonna take it easier on the cash and bake Christmas cookies and watch movies in matching pajamas and be generally adorable together. I’m still not sure what all his stocking will have in it besides a new bucket hat, but I do know I’ll be mixing it up this year and making fondue for Christmas! Gonna have all the veggies, steak, homemade Asiago bread, yeah we’re gonna hurt.
