when ponk announced that an ad break was coming, it cut to that godzilla (?) ad that was playing all the time on twitch, but a few seconds in it "glitched" back to a flashback scene in minecraft before the ad finished playing, and ponk didn't acknowledge that anything had happened

when seapeekay went afk in the egg room and left his webcam on so chat could see his chair, and then his character started moving on its' own towards the egg

when tubbo found tommy's tower and immediately disconnected from the server, shut off his webcam, and turned off the stream

when ant was killed during the red banquet and the stream ended and people had to rush to other povs to find out what happened afterwards instead of just him respawning and continuing from there

that one was SICK i can't believe i forgot about it

so since twitter is collapsing, the search for a good mangoball backup led me to this project by @this-glittering-world and. it is absolutely fantastic. it's a full mangoball recreation in html, including the christmas special and author's notes. there's dark mode and light mode and even the option to read it as a chat fic without all the twitter styling?? not to mention it's just a well designed site? i'm very impressed.

the other archive I want to direct attention to is the one on thread reader. this is slightly less reliable because if the thread gets deleted or if twitter goes down it'll stop working, but it works for now. also it looks like you can save the threads as PDFs for a couple bucks which is handy. here are the links to the og and the christmas special:

I need people to stop trying to brush off old interests as being 'cringe' as soon as you lose interest, or worse: make it seem like it's imoral to like something that they themselves held so dear before.

Fandoms are meant to last for years and years, the moment content stops being created is the moment we truly thrive because we keep creating the content ourselves the way we love it and expand on the things that are already there for us.

I don't care if you lost interest on something, it's fine and normal even, but stop trying to blame and make fun of people who still do love the fandom and the content and the things we can create.

Does the fandom shrink ? Sure, of course it does, but that means it's just you and all the other lunatics (/pos) -- all the other folks who aren't ready to let go yet, and haven't run out of things to say.
