Do you use working titles? Do you wait till you finish a book to name it, or is the name you start with the name you end with? . I’d convinced myself that “Keshkin” was the title. Now I’m not sure. The dude who shot up two mosques in Christchurch New Zealand did so for two reasons: because he is a racist fucker, and because he wants to be a famous shooter. So don’t give him that. Don’t say his name, don’t share his face. Let him be a nameless, faceless nobody. Share the names of those he killed – remember them. But make the shooter as unknown as possible. He doesn’t deserve to have his name known.
