My love for science came in handy for once, I did some research on how Intergalactic!Caine would function. It was actually a lot of fun to theorize how he’d “realistically” work as a robot.

I blended scientific facts, theories, and sci-fi together to make it more cohesive.

So, what if Pomni had accepted the Phantom’s proposal and become his wife?

Well, she’d probably have turned into a superstar prima donna — the papers would’ve been full of stories about her, while her husband, the Opera’s owner, kept on with his shady dealings.

Cain would’ve showered Pomni with new jewelry every single day. And yeah, he’d sometimes drop to his knees, practically groveling at her feet (don’t ask me why — some egocentric guys just get a weird thrill out of playing the humble servant), and he’d be all tender with her. But deep down, Pomni would still get a pang of sadness now and then, thinking about Gummigu, her first love. Still, she’d never let Cain see those feelings — she knew it’d send him into a rage.
