you know for the longest time after i finished fnv i didn't realize that it wasn't considered canon that yes man betrays you at the end of the independent new vegas ending. i figured the whole "i'm gonna edit my code to make myself more assertive" thing was meant to imply that. like i know there's still the thing with the slides telling you how your plan worked but i guess i figured that was just yes man lying to you somehow. like he put you in a room to watch this ironic slide show to torture you or something. i legit did not realize this was considered a cut concept and not actual canon. i was sitting there thinking "of fucking course benny's plan was doomed to failure all along" 🤣
