That grandma is racist AF because her mom raised her to be uncomfortable around black people and she never fought that discomfort. That shit is not healthy. Constantly having to hold someone's hand every fucking time they perceive a slight or encounter something that doesn't match their exact world view like it's the end of the entire fucking world is goddamn exhausting. And, mind, that specific behavior can be a trait of narcissists and borderline personality disorder. They need therapy and you can't fix it for them. They will never stop exhaustively draining you every single time they find something to freak out over until you give up or they discard you.
