Hooked on Love - Dead or Alive

Coping with his recent divorce and loss of his mother, Stephen finds himself in the nearest place liquor is provided. Corinthian meets Stephen for the first time in Slowdive, a goth club. The two drunkenly dance to Hooked on Love. 

Sister - She Wants Revenge

Stephen takes Corinthian back to his house and the two have sex for the first time. Corinthian leaves immediately after. 

Ship of Fools (feat. Anthony Thistlethwaite) - World Party

Introduction to Stephen’s day job as a controversial philosophy professor. Corinthian turns up unannounced to one of his lectures and invites himself over to Stephen’s house after he gets off of work.

#1 Crush - Garbage

Corinthian integrates himself into Stephen’s life by pretending to be one of his students. The two fall into a pattern of hooking up incessantly in and out of Stephen’s office. Corinthian expresses his frustration with his affection for the human by lashing out, turning their relationship into one rooted in hate sex. Stephen longs for something more.

I’ve Seen That Movie Too - Elton John

Stephen and Corinthian begin to spend time together outside of sex. Stephen opens up to Corinthian about how the death of his mother has impacted him, and Corinthian responds with his insensitive views on the value of life. Stephen leaves him behind and asks not to see him again.

Apple Blossom - The White Stripes 

Stephen decides it’s time to ‘heal’ himself by murdering the caretaker who allowed his mother to die in her retirement home. Whether or not the man is guilty does not matter. After researching to find the man has no immediate family or anyone who could serve as a likely witness, Stephen invites him over, poisons his tea, and buries him in the backyard.

Keep Your Eyes Peeled - ULTRA SUNN

Stephen returns to Slowdive to find Corinthian. Corinthian, already with other men, seemingly vanishes before Stephen can get to him. 

Deliverance - ZAND

Corinthian attempts to rape Stephen in his dreams as a way to deter him from pursuing the relationship any longer. Corinthian rips his skin to shreds, but does not take Stephen’s eyes as to avoid revealing his identity as a supernatural being. Stephen enjoys this encounter and discovers his love for sexual pain.

Blood Dirt Love Stop - The Heavy

Stephen falls back into his addiction and drinks himself to tears on his living room floor. He regrets being so foolish as to allow himself to fall in love with a man who was only using him for pleasure. 

Bloodletting (The Vampire Song) - Concrete Blonde

Corinthian resumes his travels across the U.S. in an attempt to leave the memories of Stephen behind. 

Hellfire - Barns Courtney

Not able to move on, Corinthian has a resurgence of memories from his past life in a fit of rage. The Dreaming, 1870. First Corinthian haunts the nightmares of men as a faceless cowboy on the back of his blind steed, Trojan. Corinthian begins keeping a journal of these memories.

Dog Years - Halsey

Flashback to Corinthian’s first few days on Earth. He’s hunched over a motel bathroom sink cutting the pointed tips of his ears and prying the teeth in his eyes out of his head. He discovers that his body cannot change but his pain does not dissipate. Present day. It is written in his journal that at the end of his decade on Earth, he will resign himself to being unmade permanently and follow in the footsteps of his late Lord Morpheus.

Garbage - twenty one pilots

We see Stephen playing his piano inside on a rainy day. A montage of him drifting soullessly through work and life plays before being interrupted by Corinthian knocking on his front door after dark. Stephen offers him a place to stay, clean clothes, and a hot meal. Willfully nearing the end of his life, Corinthian allows himself to ask Stephen for a relationship.
