When I was 10 and discovered Radiohead for the first time I was convinced I just found the coolest most underrated band ever, and of course none of my classmates knew them so I really was convinced they were this awesome underground band that only I listened to.

Something that really bugs me in this community is how so many of you censor yourselves.

Say zoophile, pedophile, beastiality, sexual assault, rape, suicide. Say it. Do not censor it, especially on this website. There is no algorithm coming to shadow ban you. There is no excuse.

Let words and concepts make you uncomfortable. engage with that emotion when you discuss and write about things. Do not shy away from what you mean, do not use euphemisms or censored words to avoid actually facing the reality of these concepts. You can not engage meaningfully with these things unless you are able to grasp them as they are.

If that is not a good enough reason for you, consider that people have things filtered. People who can not actually engage with things safely have put up walls to keep them safe. No one can filter every meaningful censored version of "zoophile".

Your inability to face uncomfortable topics can and will put others in danger.

If you mean zoophile, say zoophile. If you mean rape, say rape. it is getting very annoying and, I will be very honest, comes off as very immature.
