I want to be in someone's care but still protect them and be a friend. Like a hunting or farm dog.

I want to get a rough pat on the head when I drive something off our territory, when I eliminate a threat or retrieve something we hunted.

I want to sleep right on the porch or at the foot of their bed so I'm the first line of defense.

I want to lay at their feet when they're sitting somewhere and they sneak a pat on my head simply because I'm nearby.

I want them to say "ooh big stretch" when I stretch out my paws.

I want to be praised for doing everything and nothing.

I want them to take me everywhere with them.

I want to feel my tail wag whenever they approach me.

I can be independent and depended on but I also want to depend on them. I want a companion. To be cared for and care for another.
