I woke up sad again this morning.

The world feels heavy, fractured, and painful. With everything happening around us, it’s hard to feel content or joyful when it seems like our world is unraveling—when our people are being taken from us, when families are being separated, and when real change feels painfully slow.

It’s hard to imagine a better life when things don’t seem to be improving. Change is uncomfortable, especially when people grow too accustomed to surviving instead of imagining something different. Adapting is difficult when you don’t know what the future looks like. Starting a new job is hard. Meeting new people is hard. Stepping into the unknown is hard. But without the willingness to try, nothing ever shifts.

It’s hard choosing a creative path when the world itself feels stripped of creativity, tenderness, and care.

I sit with my tears, thinking about everything I wish I could help fix, all the ways I want to show up for my community, all the love I want to give but don’t always know how to express. I want to contribute more. I want to do more. And today, the weight of that desire feels overwhelming.
