Echidna's Den

This blog belongs to the writer of Calamity! There are more stories to be written than that, so you'll see more of me in the future!

My persona here is Echidna, though it isn't the one from greek mythology.

This is my Echidna, a supposed "god", and it's up to you if they're canon to any of my stories. They're a representation of me, the author, watching over my stories and making sure they're going as they should.

If you wish to draw them, use any color pallete, as they're a shape-shifter as indecisive as me!

Now, what stories have you written?

As of right now, none of my stories have been fully written and published, but, the one closest to being published is a story titled Calamity. That story follows a warrior sent to slay a dragon, and the very dragon they are meant to slay. The warrior is sent with a guide to the dragon's lair, but little does she know, the guide is the dragon. You'll have to wait till' it's ready to find out the rest!

I have so many stories I want to write out as books and publish so that everyone can see what I have in store! these stories are quite dear to me, because most of them i've had in mind since I was a kid. Calamity is a bit more recent of an idea, but still as loved by me as all the other stories I have in mind.

There's many stories to come, but you'll have to just wait and see!

I put a lot of thought into my stories, so I hope you'll love them as much as I do! Every one of my stories has at least something to do with dragons, wyverns or some sort of draconic creature. There's not many dragon-centric books, so I wish to contribute to the number of books about dragons.

Feel free to ask questions about the characters, or even directly to the characters! at some point I'll have full reference sheets of the major characters in each story, so they can be somewhere else other than just in my head lmao

she's a minor character, but if Calmaity becomes popular enough if/when I publish it, I might write a book telling her story! this art doesn't exactly reflect her coloration tho, it was done by memory. the stripe should be slightly darker, and shouldn't look like it's glowing.

through dragon eyes is on a pause as i'm more motivated to work on calamity rn XD

I really hope I can finish rewriting this by the end of the year, cause' all i'm doing is making the chapters a little longer, since i've already written it all

The Erebus!

this is the species of wyvern the main character is turned into! they turn invisible/transparent in the darkness, depending on how dark it is determines the amount of transparency. BUT, the skeletal pattern on their face, tail, and wings stay fully visible no matter what.

they eat eggs and have dark scales that usually have accents of cold colors, but warm greens and purples are pretty uncommon but not unheard of.

Their diet consists of basically only eggs, due to a special phenomenon where the first thing they eat becomes their favorite food. Erebus eggs are very tiny and colored like stone, and hidden amongst nests so the hatchlings may break into the eggs and eat them as their first meal.
